The screening program will be implemented in cases where: •
the school is informed of positive COVID-19 test results in a school group with a higher transmission risk such as a high contact sport (for example hockey or rugby) or extended exposure without masks;
•
a fully vaccinated student under the age of 18 or fully vaccinated and boosted staff member is a household close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19 and informs HSC Health Services of their exposure;
•
a student or staff member has a known exposure to a confirmed case of COVID-19 outside of their household and informs HSC Health Services of their exposure.

No
Isolate as per provincial guidelines and are therefore not eligible for the HSC Screening Program.
The screening program may be implemented in cases where: •

YES
No
Participate in the HSC Screening Program.
No action necessary.
the school is informed of positive test results in a school group with a lower transmission risk such as a known cluster within a class or department.
The screening program will require: •
participants to take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) before coming to school every day for 10 days after the last known exposure as an added measure that aligns with the monitoring guidelines from Public Health Ontario.
