What have we been doing?
HSC is pursuing the renewal of our accreditation by CAIS. Doing so involves completing a self study guided by CAIS’ Indicators of Effective Practice for 12 National Standards. The process, which involves all of our constituents, examines all aspects of our College strategy, education program and school operations against the National Standards.
The goal?
To discover our strengths, areas for growth, future strategy, and examining how well our program fulfills our mission and vision.
How will we know how we did?
The PRT is responsible for investigating various Indicators of Effective Practices within the College. Each PRT member contributes to a comprehensive Peer Review Report after the visit. This report contains an overview of where the College stands in terms of each Indicator of Effective Practice and offers commendations (what we are doing exceptionally well) and recommendations (areas of growth that require action by HSC).

Who conducts the review?
A COMMUNICATION WILL BE SENT OUT REGARDING THE REPORT FINDINGS BY THE HEAD OF COLLEGE ONCE THE PRT HAS PREPARED THE DOCUMENT AND REVIEWED IT WITH THE COLLEGE.
A peer review team (PRT) will complete the review. This group is made up of school leaders and educators from similar CAIS schools who represent various areas of expertise and experience. HSC’s Self Study Report has been given to the PRT in advance of their four day visit to campus, at which time they will meet with the entire community including students, faculty and staff, parents, alumni and Board members. The PRT observes classes and all other activities of the school.
What is the objective of the PRT?
The main goal of the PRT is to validate HSC's Self Study Report and further support the College in prioritizing opportunities for growth.
