GRADE 12 YEAR
Grade 12 is a pivotal year for students as they aim for success and prepare to transition from high school. The Grade 12 year has three major components: academics, school/ community engagement, and the postsecondary application process.
Grade 12 Student Checklist
» Check grad class page daily
» Adhere to timelines and deadlines
» Continue post-secondary research
» Visit campuses/open house events at schools
» Complete applications and supplementals
» Attend grad workshops, fairs and rep visits
» Regular check-ins with your guidance counsellor

Teacher Reference Requests
Teachers require a minimum of 2 weeks to prepare a reference letter.
Students should speak with the teacher first and complete the HSC Reference Letter Request Form posted on the grad page and cc their guidance counsellor.
Course Change Requests for Semester 2
Course Change Request Form. Request form closes on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 9:00 am.
Supporting Documents
Supporting academic documents such as current course letters, reference letters, predicted grades etc. will be sent directly via HSC as requested by the postsecondary institution. If the student receives this request, they should inform their guidance counsellor ASAP to ensure it is completed. HSC does not share HSC teacher references or predicted grades.
