● What is Awards Announcement Day and how do students get their awards? HSC shares with all participating students an email letting them know if they have received an award or not. In 2024 our awards announcement day is Thursday, March 7, 2024. ● What do I need to bring to the Academic exam that is held online? Students are permitted to bring scratch paper, a pencil, and a bottle of water to their computer desks. NO cell phones are allowed. Students who leave their computers without pre-authorized approval will be removed from the competition. ● What do the interviews look like if I earn one, how will I be told? Short-listed candidates for interviews, (Leadership and Arts Scholarships) will be contacted a week in advance of their interview. No further preparation is required to attend the interview. ● How do I submit my essay or portfolio requirements? All submissions should be directed to submit to scholarships@hsc.on.ca via a Google Link. All links MUST be set to public and view only. The E-mail subject line must include the candidate's first and last name, and the name of the scholarship it is being submitted for. I.E Tara Meyer_ Leadership Scholarship Submission. ● What do I win? Scholarships are awarded as a monetary deduction to tuition. Awards are distributed equally across the number of payments as outlined in your fee schedule. For example; if you pay Plan D (12-month payment plan), and earn a $1200 scholarship, you will see a $100 deduction on each of your monthly statements.
