You will be asked to enter the Zoom link provided 15 minutes prior to the start of the competition for important instructions and reminders. The Zoom link will be emailed to you (and your parents/guardians) 24 hours ahead, an hour before and again 15 minutes before the exams.

n What happens if I have technology difficulties? Please text or call Mrs. Heath-Johnston’s helpline 289-682-9073 for further instructions. Keep working on your exam if you can.
n What if I know my camera does not work? Please make arrangements now to be in a location with access to a system with a camera. A working camera is a requirment.

n Look in the chat now for our PRACTICE LINK (click, or copy and paste into a new window now). This is how you will receive the link to your test on test day.
n On test day you will require a password or unique identifier to access your test. IMPORTANT: Everyone’s unique identifier will be their lastnamefirstname. Examples: watsonlinda, heathjohnstonsheriann Note: If you have two last names or first names with a hyphen, the hyphen will be removed.

n What if I need help with a question? The Zoom facilitators will not be able to give you support with questions. Move on to questions you know and then revisit the ones you need to look at again. Always take a guess!
n What if I run into technology issues? Try logging in again. It should allow you to proceed with your test as it is linked to your unique identifier (lastnamefirstname). As a last step, please text or call Mrs. Heath-Johnston’s helpline 289-682-9073.
n Is there a timer on the test? Yes. You should see a timer on the bottom of your test. Your facilitator will also give you occasional reminders.

Competition Tips
from the Senior School Students Before the exam
n Understand the exam format.
During the exam
n Practice with the online exam program. n Gather all of the necessary materials needed for the exam. n Organize and clean your desk. Morning of the Exam: n Make sure that you are in a quiet space. n Go to the washroom before the scheduled exam time. n Join the Zoom meeting 10–15 minutes ahead of scheduled time if allowed.

n Keep an eye on the timer. n Answer the questions you are confident with and note the questions you may need to check after if you have time. n Don't panic if there are technical problems. n Check your work at the end before you submit the exam. Try to leave some time for this, especially in English!
