AIMDAY: GREEN FUTURE - ONE QUESTION. ONE HOUR. ENDLESS POSIBILITIES
AIMday: Green Future – One question. One hour. Endless possibilities
Are you a company or external organisation to Sheffield Hallam University that wishes to explore how scientific approaches, innovations and methodologies can deliver economic and social benefit for a green future? Are you looking for ways to connect into academic know-how? Are you looking to innovate or collaborate with a university partner?
If so, we would like to invite you and your colleagues to AIMday Green Future taking place in person on 14 September 2022, an innovative networking event that allows external organisations to set the agenda and gain academic perspective into real-world challenges. The vision of this AIMday is to allow participating companies and external organisations to access the knowledge, technology and expertise they need to deliver fundamental change in how we tackle the global climate crisis; targeting the ‘final 20%’ of greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions, realising a circular economy, protecting our nature; developing and deploying net-zero technologies; exploring solutions to increase productivity and keep business ahead of the curve through innovation To participate in AIMday, you need to submit at least one challenge phrased as a question. Selected questions will then be matched to our academic base across the university and discussed in detail in one-hour workshops at the AIMday - led by you with members of our innovation management team to help. By participating you can:
gain new and deeper knowledge, perspectives and ideas that yield solutions to your organisation’s real challenges improve and broaden contacts with academic researchers across different disciplines – and also with other organisations discuss collaborations in various forms – e.g. collaborative R&D, contract research, commercial consultancy,
PhD projects, applied projects etc be able to apply for follow-on funding to incentivise co-development of promising outcomes from the workshops AIMday is a free event and refreshments, and a light lunch will be provided on the day. You are welcome to attend the full day but the minimum time commitment on the day is one hour to lead your challenge workshop. When registering please include the question or challenge you would like to discuss. To ensure your workshop (s) are successful, we ask that at least two company representatives who are familiar with the question or challenge posed are available to participate on the day.
