SAVOIR Faire
Savoir Faire THE 10,000 HOUR RULE, made popular by the journalist and sociologist Malcolm Gladwell, says that we can all become experts in any field by practicing for at least 10,000 hours. Experts yes, but not talented, without forgetting that to become a true master, an artist, even talent is not enough, since it needs to be developed, with effort, passion and dedication. Spending hours to perfect a movement leads to the creation of excellent products. Expertise is passed on through gestures, creativity and human interaction, a symbol of an impressive cultural heritage and tradition. Know-how as an essential component of production quality and of the firm's very identity has always characterized many manufacturing companies that make excellent products and are able to respond over time to market requirements and changes. This is closely connected to being able to count on excellent skills that cannot be reproduced in other manufacturing contexts, precisely because they are linked to the territory and local craftsmanship. Artisans are the most adept at connecting hand and brain, transforming the intelligence of abstract thought into tangible beauty. In order to do this, one also needs to be aware of new technologies and move towards innovation. Machines certainly do not replace hands, but they enable the production of shapes that would otherwise be impossible to make. Today, algorithmic is no longer the opposite of artisanal, but digitalization makes sense when it strengthens the link between brain and hand, through expertise, towards the creation of true beauty.

THE BLADE TABLE Special Lacquer
The Blade Table With Its Special Lacquer THE BLADE TABLE, DESIGNED BY UMBERTO ASNAGO, is the fruit of our artisans’ craftsmanship, which has shaped every single detail. Its lines are clean, precise and subtle, highlighting the essence of the wood, which is characterized by both strength and malleability. Available in different sizes, these tables are perfectly suited to any domestic or office space. The special lacquer option available for this table is achieved by using entirely artisanal methods: the process takes at least 15 days and is divided into two phases. The initial stage ensures the setting of the first layer of stucco, which creates the irregular, graduated shading once completed. Then the polyester lacquer is added, which makes the surface smooth and glossy. It's a unique addition to any room.

CA’ GRANDA This building is a symbol of Milanese art and history in which key personalities have been involved. Founded by Francesco Sforza in 1456 to provide medical care to the city's poor, Ca’ Granda was built by the Florentine architect known as Filarete and was one of the first Renaissance buildings in Milan. The original layout of two crosses and a central courtyard underwent modifications from the early 19th century and after the severe bombings of the Second World War, it was the subject of extensive renovations conducted by Piero Portaluppi. Then, in 1958, it became home to the University of Milan. Photo of the Ca' Granda in Milan By Giovanni Dall'Orto - Own work
