TIMELESS

Timeless FOR SOME OBJECTS, TIME STANDS STILL. They combine the past, present and future, becoming an integral part of our lives. And good design lasts over time, not just in terms of construction, but also aesthetics: excellent work is done with care, making the object beautiful inside and out, even the elements which are normally hidden from view. The characteristics which make a piece a classic are undoubtedly precious materials and finishes; the quality of the materials render the product solid and reliable. But all this isn’t enough unless beauty and function are in perfect harmony. Great masterpieces hide the, at times, obsessive effort of those who make them. The perseverance and the imagination of those who produce them creates forms and proportions which respond to canons of beauty that have remained unchanged over the centuries. Timeless style is able to overcome the limiting influence of fickle trends, with the chance to customize a space which always tells a story: your own. Decorating a house is like telling your story, made of choices, plans, solutions and individual taste. An object of design must make the buyer fall in love with it, as it becomes an emotional investment as well, one which will last longer than a lifetime and be passed down from generation to generation. For this reason, behind every outline, drawing and plan, there must always be unique design intelligence made of intuition, experimentation and attention to detail.

GIORGETTI in Foshan

Italian Design in Foshan A BIG EVENT FOR GIORGETTI IN FOSHAN, where the brand has a presence at an important store, or rather, a conceptual space in which pieces of furniture are in dialogue with each other in a refined, exclusive setting. Opened in partnership with Shunde Louvre, one of the main retailers of design brands in southern China, the company has brought elegant interior design solutions to life, offering traditional and modern style ideas and suggestions. On 8 September 2017, Shunde Louvre celebrated Made in Italy furniture and the arrival of the new collections with an inspiring ceremony and the participation of many important architects. Among them was Carlo Colombo, who talked about his collaboration with Giorgetti, his sources of inspiration and the creation of his most recent products. This event represents Giorgetti’s ever-stronger presence in China and the desire to promote unique, original design of undisputed quality.

MEDITERRANEAN ELEGANCE in Shanghai

Mediterranean Elegance in Shanghai THE GUBEI INTERNATIONAL RESIDENCE IN SHANGHAI, is an exclusive enclave in the heart of the city, complete with high quality amenities. Within this complex you’ll find an apartment divided into two parts, one for common spaces and one a bit more private, decorated with Giorgetti’s most important furnishings. The common spaces were designed to host and entertain friends and family and includes a living zone where two-tone Vittoria sofas, leather Mobius armchairs and Aura sofas are the center of attention. Of course, the apartment wouldn’t be complete without a dining room featuring the circular Gordon table with a rotating insert to share delicacies with guests, surrounded by Margot chairs in exquisite leather. The multifunctional Town cabinet in Canaletto walnut wood, with details in bronze-hued metal and leather, provides the necessary space to hold precious objects and decorate with solutions that meet the needs of any setting. The study is a perfect hideaway to read in, escaping the world outdoors thanks to the Tycoon executive desk and the Genius armchair. The private wing has four bedrooms, where the Altea bed combined with the Mea bedside tables creates an area dedicated to high-class rest.

FRAME: FEATURED Ad Campaign

Frame Starring in Ad Campaign GIORGETTI HAS LAUNCHED A NEW CHAPTER IN THE “HOW DIFFERENT WOULD YOU BE?” PRINT CAMPAIGN, consistent with past creativity but now starring the bedroom, featuring the Frame bed, the Oli shelving unit and the Ripple armchair. Offered in soft, textural tones of grey, an absolutely on-trend color, with hints of dusty rose and teal, they confer a contemporary, welcoming atmosphere. In a supporting role is the Progetti armchair, which reappears in all the advertising images, embodying the brand’s ability to effortlessly mix collections from the past and present. This notable ability is also seen in the various reinterpretations of the iconic chair, which turns 30 this year. Contemporary design and art meet and intertwine in a conversation between the past, present and future to reveal how Giorgetti collections are unrivaled in bringing style and character to a space, adapting to the most diverse environs. Furniture from the brand and décor pieces from the Giorgetti Atmosphere label eschew banality to offer exclusive, versatile solutions and bring an all-encompassing project to life. Expressive technique, interpreted by suffusing the space with contrasting hues, is a reference to a pop-contemporary language in addition to a way to highlight individual pieces of furniture, presented in their natural colors, thanks to the interplay of visual contrasts.

NEWS FROM MILAN

NEWS from Milan 100 ANNI. SCULPTURE IN MILAN (1815-1915) The Galleria d’Arte Moderna (Modern Art Museum) in Milan is already an incredible exhibition space for sculpture, and thanks to "100 Anni. Sculpture in Milan (1815–1915)", it will reveal part of its immense sculptural heritage to the public, usually inaccessible and under lock and key in storage. A journey through six sections traces the history of sculpture in Lombardy, from the Neoclassical artwork of students and followers of Canova, through the romantic revolution of the School of Milan up to the fascinating, complex period linking the 19th and 20th centuries.

FONDAZIONE FELTRINELLI The new headquarters of Fondazione Feltrinelli was unveiled in December 2016 in Viale Pasubio, Milan, a place which was home to the Vivaio Ingegnoli nursery for years. Instead of plants, flowers, seeds and fertilizer, now there’s a "giant greenhouse" of knowledge, designed by Herzog & de Meuron. This long crystal sleeve not only hosts the publisher’s archives, but also made space for the new Microsoft head offices. The building, part of "Third-Millennium Milan", holds an invaluable treasure: more than 200,000 volumes dedicated to European social history as well as correspondence, documents and epistolaries.
