Like many of us, I first got to know the Lowcountry when I visited as a child, and now have made this wonderful place my home. And Palmetto Ocean Conservancy Guardians of the Sea is dedicated not only to preservation, but to educating those future generations about their responsibility to the planet. CEO Michelle Meissen began her mission as a diver with a love of the sea, a love that she now shares in classrooms across Beaufort County, leading outreach programs on marine conservation.
