/ White rabbit packaging design It is a school project designing new packaging and product based on the original line of the White Rabbit ( candy ). It requires 2-tone color for printing. White Rabbit was found in 1943, which the creamy candy provides calcium and energy to the public when there was insufficient supply of milk among children and elderies in old China. Original brand has 2 series -- creamy candy and yogurt creamy candy. In order to revitalise the brand, it also collebrated with different brand and release new products such as milk, ice cream, bubble tea, special candy box set, lip balm, body lotion etc.
/ Design Direction Since the original brand has a very distinct rabbit, so, the new packaging will remain the rabbit as an icon. It is a tratidional brand, new look should also had some elements that related to the old brand, yet cute and sweet at the same time. However, modernized it is also very important, which would give people a refreshing image. New colors are also added to represent different flavours. Keywords: Cute / Retro / light-hearted

/ New features 1. Rabbit ear To enhance the feeling of 'rabbit', a pair of ear is added in the box. People just need to unfold the ear after opening the box.

2. Fusion of new and old White Rabbit accompanies many children's childhood. Besides giving people joy of tasting new flavours, it also introduces some old childhood games to new generations, such as playing marbles, small piano, hula hoop and blowing bubbles.
3. 2 - toned color choice To add retro feeling to product, brown is used for all flavours, matching with one more color togather.
4. Adjustment to logo Angle of the white rabbit hopping is adjusted, which makes it looks like jumping than landing, and there are also lines showing the movement. Before

/ About Bluray packaging
My former compay makes movie exclusive packaging for Warner Bros., 20th Century Studios ( FOX ) and Universal Pictures.
The job duty focus on designing the whole package, works mainly includes photo retouching and making print files. The package contains three slips, a steelbook, an envelope, a set of postcard , character cards, a 36 pages image booklet, a sticker, a box set and sometimes with a gift. It requires skills of matching atmosphere of the movie. I also need to find factories online to make different gifts and box.

The theme is shadow and scissors. It shows the first appearance of the 'Tethered'. They standed against the light. To add a stong feeling/ tension to it, image is tuned into monotone for the background, and the Tethered are in red. For the back, their weapon, a pair of scissors is hidden in the forest just like the people who live underground are merging to the unseen world of the US.

The concept of the slip is the Rorschach test( ink blot test ), which is symmetrical black ink image on white paper. The slip shows the same peron who share the same spirit, but one considered to be 'real' and another considered to be a 'Tethered'. The slip gives a hint to audiences they are the 'same' person, but which is the'real' person? The back is one of the symbol -- Jeremiah 11:11, which is a warning to the people above, the underground 'Tethered' coming to replace them.

Red and gold are the main colour of the slip, which represent the 'Tethered' and their weapons. The 'Tethered' dormainted the cover, with people holding hands at the back. Back of the slip is a girl dancing, her shadow splits into two. 'Tethered' cannot dance, but she is an exception. The back image is another hint to the audiences about the story -- Who is the 'real' one.

The cover is an official poster from the movie, while the back is a retouched image combines few elements -- the cinema, fire and the audiences. The use of scratch resistance coating suites the background very much, it gave a rough texutre to the scarches behind. UV is used to the characters. Looking again to the artwork, would like to add emboss more detailly than just to the whole character.

Both cover and back is a retouched image. Cover is done togather with another designer. Both had rough texture and ink splashes to fit the atmosphere of the movie. Since there is a black and dark purple slip, this one used white and go for a more energetic style. There is a quote form the movie for the back cover.

/ Dear Katie Clothing logo design Dear Katie is a shop on instagram selling female clothing and accessories. The shop gave customer an elegan, dreamy and sweet vibe. Photos are mainly pastel color, and lady in floral dresses. Katie is a young lady. She likes to dress beautifully and take good care of herself. Everything she bought seen as a gift. She also likes to share good items with friends. " Life is a gift, make it sweet".
/ Design Direction It is a brand for young ladies, which should be young but not too navie. Gift would be key elements for the logo design. Logo would also includes flower or clothing. It also needs to be visible on Instagram search. Color would be pastel color, with variations to suit different clothings. Keywords: Elegant / feminine / precious

/ Design Direction The brand would like to project a happy, all-rounded and natural vibe to the customer. Colors are spice color, e.g. color of chili, ginger and parsley in a lower saturated tone.

/ Nin Fung Mitten Crab Store logo design It is a grocery store selling Chinese mitten crab.
/ Design Direction The brand wants a traditional feel. The main image is the company name, bottom is a crab; the wheat wrapping around means "plentiful harvest", which represent the word " Fung". Colors are in gold, with dark green and orange. They are the color of wheat, raw crab and cooked crab respectively.

/ Magic Spice brand identity & packaging design It is a self-initiated project. Granny's Magic Spice is a brand created by Fran West, a retired registered nurse. She used to make spice for her personal use and as gifts for friends. The spice serves people at the San Antonio Area in Texas, later sold to a chained supermarket. It is a family based local product, helpers are all Fran's family member. The product contains very little salt and without MSG. And the spices do not blend too finely to give stronger texture to the food.
/ Design Direction Old logo shows a strong feeling of texas, which linked to western cowboy feeling, that slighly different from the back story of Magic Spice -- a warm, family business. New design would like to bring a more homemade and simple feeling to it; moreover, new colors are used to relate more to spice. Keywords: Homemade / Gentle / simple
