Our mission is to provide appraisal and valuation services competently, efficiently, and cost effectively for our clients.
Hindman Appraisals has provided estate and tax professionals, private collectors, insurance professionals, and institutions comprehensive art services, including appraisals, valuations, expert witness, damage claims, depositions, and acquisition advice for over four decades.
As a result of our reputation, we have had the privilege of working with prominent family offices, estates, and collections from distinguished museums, institutions, corporations, and private individuals across the country.
Clients may provide photographs or previous listings to review. We will arrange a walkthrough of the property to determine the size and scope of the project.
A complimentary quote for the timeframe and cost will be generated for the appraisal project. Once approved, an appraisal agreement will be sent for signature.
A mutually agreed-upon date will be scheduled for the on-site appraisal to catalog, inspect, and photograph the tangible personal property.
The Appraisers will utilize internet auction aggregator sites and subscription service databases, as well as consult with market experts to determine the value of the items.
A draft appraisal report and invoice will be sent to the client for review. Once approved, a finalized report will be shared.

Tim Luke, EVP | National Managing Director, is an AQB Certified USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) Instructor who ensures the Hindman Appraisals team maintains compliance with the USPAP standards. Our Appraisers are up to date with USPAP courses and fulfill the IRS requirements for a qualified Appraiser. Our appraisal reports also follow the USPAP standards and IRS requirements for all appraisals.

Consideration for the type and definition of value is also a factor that must be consistent with the intended use of the appraisal report.
The Appraisers in our department have a vast depth and breath of knowledge. Our familiarity with the marketplace, constant interactions with the markets, and tracking of market trends ensure that appraisals are completed in the most efficient and effective manner.
