On the 3rd Day of the 33rd Inter University Youth Festival at HITS, the GenZ surfaced their creativity, respect for traditional heritage and Culture of India, though we have made tremendous strides in keeping pace with Science &Technology. When the entire world is racing towards materialistic aspirations, and mechanical lifestyle, the participants of the 33rd Inter University South Zone Youth Fest at HITS, has indulged in creating an irenic atmosphere. The scenario in the campus
transcended from its modern outlook to its vintage era. It is not rodomontade but it’s sheer humility that surfaced in their performance. The atmosphere was reverberating with the clans of Drums, Trumpets, Veena, Nadaswaram, Mridangam, emanating a blend of Hindustani and Carnatic music at its best, and it also extended to powerful portrayals of themes related through mime, skit, debate and one act plays that reflected the theme of the social evils, preservation of nature, Indian mythology and also the pros and cons of technology.

mime The stage was set for the Mime and the campus saw several onlookers who were admiring the artists having their faces painted to participate in the Mime event. The event was a perfect combination of Āngika (body movements) with Sāttvika (true expression), with the themes encapsulating the cause of social welfare, incarnation of Lord Vishnu to the effects of Blue whale on society and no realms were void. 20 Mime teams from various institutions performed. Participants of the University of Mysore depicted the blue whale game and how it gets people hooked to it eventually claiming innocent lives. An act in relation to dignity of girls was performed by Acharya Nagarjun University exposing the bitter truth regarding the ill treatment of girls in education and various stages of life such as birth, childhood, youth and adulthood. Kannur University’s topic was Theyattam, it is a popular form of devotional service in Kerala with a very decorative dress code

A PORTRAYAL OF POWERFUL MESSAGE narrating stories of legendary heroes. An act was performed to raise attention to water scarcity and water conservation and the ways to preserve as well as use water efficiently for a better future. Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam portrayed a recurring issue of agricultural families in India. It showed the indifference in the society and how the moneylenders took advantage of their situation, causing the family to give up possession of all their assets. Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam. Tirupati presented a Mime enititled Dasavataram showing the ten incarnations of Lord Maha Vishnu.

Macbeth at Open Air Theatre (OAT) without Hamartia in performance by Mangalore University set the standards for the rest and 19 teams brought to fore a catharsis that engulfed the spectators in mixed emotions of pity & fear, and also resulted in purgation of emotions. It reached the zenith as they entered the realm of understanding the ways of Gods and Men. CLASSICAL INSTRUMENTAL SOLO Waves of emotion set in among the audience as they listened to the classical instrumental solo performances by the participants and the professionalism was evident right from the start. Mesmerizing performances with reverberations Swaram & Taalam in unison by12 participants from Central University of Kerala, University of Calicut, University of Kerala, Sri Chandrasekharendar Saraswathi Mahavidyalaya, Enathur, Kancheepuram, Vignan’s Foundations for Science and Technology, Karnataka University, Kuvempu University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, CUSAT and Gulbarga University in percussion category and 17 teams in non percussion category represented by various institutions.

Quiz Final
With 18 teams battling their way to glory, debating on the topic "The Growing Scope of Internet is ending the Creativity of Youth". The judges and audience were engrossed and baffled at the performance of the participants who spoke in an assertive and convincing manner, with loads of arguments to defend their point of view.
7 teams walking their way to victory through 7 levels of challenge: In the news, exploring India, they decided India’s destiny, from the world of sport, fascinations of science, identify the personalities and rapid fire.

From Selfies to Social Responsibility the Millenials exhibited their prowess in photography. They venture into photography as an art and showcasing their imagination and creativity. The task assigned for the thirteen teams were to freeze the world of Nature and Movements through their lens.
Poster Making
This is an event that glued the participants to exhibit their talents through images based on the themes of National Integration, Save Female Child and Digital India. It was meant to sensitize and create awareness about the social issues, knowledge of technology and induce patriotic fervor.
