Light Duty
Hino 300 has been engineered to make life easier for busy owners. The light-duty truck is available in standard cab, wide cab, crew cab and tipper model variants. Most models can be optioned so that they can be driven using an ordinary car licence – a huge advantage for large fleets!
We couldn’t make them any tougher so we made them smarter.
From the quality of its interior design to the ride and handling experience, the 300 offers drivers a car-like feel. Standard equipment across the entire Hino 300 range includes air conditioning and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), while 614 to 916 models all feature four-wheel disc brakes.

Easy Start
Crew cab seats seven
Easy Start is standard across the Hino 300 range on manual transmission models and assists the driver in making clean getaways, particularly on hills.
The crew cab is Hino’s first light-duty four-door truck. Featuring electrohydraulic tilt mechanism, rear air conditioning and no intruding transmission tunnel in the rear compartment, the sevenseater is a spacious and comfortable option for carrying more people.
Engines The new 4.0-litre common rail turbocharged and intercooled diesel engine for the Hino 300 has been designed to specifically comply with the tough ADR 80/02 emissions standards, and comes in two power settings. Standard cab models generate 100kW of net power at 2700rpm and 358Nm of net torque at 1800rpm. Wide cab model engines have 110kW of net power at 2700rpm and 397Nm of net torque at 1800rpm.
Airbags

For Occupational Health and Safety, a driver’s airbag is standard equipment on all standard cabs, with the addition of a passenger side airbag on the wide cab range.
Anti-lock brakes and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution are standard across every Hino 300 variant to help improve braking performance and increase safety.
Automatic transmission Independent Front Suspension (IFS) Hino is offering 614 IFS featuring a newly developed double wishbone Independent Front Suspension with rack and pinion steering. The set-up is engineered specifically for metropolitan and city operations and has been developed to provide optimum ride comfort, steering accuracy and vehicle stability.
The fully automatic six-speed electronically controlled transmission is Hino’s first in this model. It has features found in modern car transmissions, and some that won’t be found even in luxury cars, such as the fuel-saving torque converter lock-up from second to sixth gear, hill descent control and neutral brake control at idle. Manual transmissions are still available across the Hino 300 range – five speeds on 414, 614 & 616 models with a new six-speed manual on 716 to 916 variants of the wide cab models.
Hybrid Option Hino 300 now offers a Hybrid variant with all the benefits of ultra low emissions & fuel savings.
