HIVE - MINDS
Hinge construction joint obtained by plywood and S.S. rod connection.
Suspension cables used to lift mdf modules.
Behaviour of individual heron (bird) and flock of heron was mapped. The inferences were then translated to 3d-Modules. Video link of the final dynamic paper model.
https://drive.google.com/ open?id=1PqRrJ23X9BKmkwxQi5HjyAzCKt_sFX9k Understand swarm behaviour in nature based on Kevin kelly's book - Out of Control 92. My design stood out as one of the selected 4 designs out of 40, which was built as a life size scale installation. I understood architectue of process in this project - from conceptual thinking to design execution. Along with hands on experience with materials, I also learnt importance of detailing joints while converting a dynamic 3d paper model to a functional life size furniture. VISITOR’S CENTRE
With its topographical setup the transition spaces in the Visitor centre were designed to be functional in nature, thereby, creating an experiential journey for the tourists/guests.
Based on individual students analysis of Bhutan study tour, creating a Public Space for its locals. My skills to analyse a new place like Bhutan, within its context were improved with this project. By designing Visitor Centre, my chosen program, I developed insights of working of a recreational plus commercial setup. Creating spaces that unite with the topography of Bhutan was the central theme of design. Keywords || Fluidity of spaces, Transitional spaces, Experiential spaces, Topography patterns.

Western region of Bhutan, attracted more tourists thus promising opportunitis for Visitor centre. The diverse topographical pattern of Bhutan was my design inspiration.
Conceptual attempts were made to design fluid and barrier free spaces.
Initial concept as percieved in sectional sketch was to create an experiential journey for the tourists/guests.

APARTMENT HOTEL
The design intent was to integrate communal spaces in Apart Hotel to simulate interactions amongst guests of diverse backgrounds.
The resultant design tries to blur the contrast between private and public spaces.
The aim of this excercise was to come up with a design of an Apartment Hotel (not above 8 floors). This program developed in me, a sensitive approach in designing an apart hotel for guests of diverse economic and geographical backgrounds. Translation of contextual observations in the design along with services involved in a hotel setup were explored. Keywords || Vertical village character, Community spaces, Interactive spaces.

REHABILITATION CENTRE
Organizational strategy- Zoning of different units in the centre in accordance to climate response and circulation patterns.
Propose a Rehabilitation centre to deal with currently increasing mental health problems The program gave me an overview of health facilities design while keeping in mind the benefits of passive design strategies. My design focused to integrate design strong in character and concepts and in level with the latest technological summaries in building sciences. CULTURAL CENTRE
Initial design of Detail at B- Pathway towards Main hall.
Initial design of Detail at A- Main hall elevation
To accomodate more users the Main Hall was designed along the span of the structure. No mechanical ventilation was used hence cross ventilation and daylight through colonaded arches and its orientation was achieved. The entrance to the main hall is designed borrowing from the Indian cultural elements.

BAKERY REDESIGNING
Existing bakery plan with interior layout changes and facade treatment changes.
Facade treatment changes- Window detailing.
Dilapidated bakery was to be redesigned. Hence, with restricted planning changes, the focus was to re-design the elevation. Addition of windows allowed to re-create the liveliness in the space. Also, choice of paint and other desing materials were important design considerations. Keywords || Elevation design, Window detailing, Material selection.
