2012 WAS ONE OF OUR MOST SUCCESSFUL YEARS EVER. Bette Scott Director
2012 Year in Review / University of Oklahoma Career Services
During the 2011-12 year, Career Services continued to enhance our services for students and employers. We have partnered with key stakeholders across campus to better educate our students and provide effective tools and services that can be helpful from freshmen to graduate students. These partnerships have raised the awareness of Career Services to students as early as their freshman year. Our online programs, which include Optimal Resume, FOCUS2, Going Global, and Career Spots videos, saw a 112% increase in users. Student usage of Focus2, which is an online program designed to assist students in finding a major or explore careers, almost doubled in 2011-12. We have seen a marked increase in the number of students who have taken advantage of mock interviews and continue to receive outstanding reviews from the students who have participated. We also saw the largest number of students during our weekly scheduled walk-in advising and a record number of students requesting resume critiques. This 2011-12 Annual Report highlights the year’s activities and accomplishments. If you have any questions about the information provided, please contact me at bscott@ou.edu. Sincerely,
Bette Scott
