Curriculum Vitae
HIRON LI - ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER -
PROF I LE I have recently graduated Master of Architecture at the University of Sydney. I am a diligent, reliable person who is always committed to my work. I passionate about designing space, creating an elegant and functional space for people would be the first priority in every design project. I love to travel because it is a valuable process of exploring different cultures, meeting new people and learning new things. For the opposite side, I also like to read and quietly spend time with my cat. I’m looking forward to gaining more experiences and improve my capabilities in communication, teamwork and technical skills.

For the Berlin Philharmonic, the built form establishes a balance and harmony with the music contained within. In the main auditorium, the stage is located at the center of the hall with the seating arranged around the stage through a series of offset terraces that were positioned for optimal acoustic performance. In section, the auditorium appears as a concave fishbowl that projects the music in every direction. The ceiling angles and drapes dramatically over the auditorium space capturing and projecting the sound in a rhythmic fashion.

06. THE MUTATION BERLIN PHILHARMONIE
The new mutation design aims to carry on Scharoun’s key design notion, and focused on placing music at the center of the building, both conceptually and physically. A luxury private lounge was designed hidden above the air without sacrificing the overall sound quality of the auditorium. From the center, the music would continue to be amplified and filtered throughout the auditorium. For maintaining the best acoustic quality, the skin of the mutant is actually using a double curve hyperbolic shape which was inspired by the Hygro skin and could effectively absorb noise, on the other hands, as the replacement of the origin acoustic panels hanging in the roof, below the bottom, the mutant is also hanging number of acoustic panels, they at the same time provides a certain degree of secrecy. Since the mutant is designed mostly suspended in mid-air, it is structurally dependent on the connections to the control room.

09. BURIAL BALMAIN EAST MARINER’S CREMATORIUM
10. SITE ANALYSIS HAPTIC MAPPING
The Fenwick Bell’s Store is a rectangular sandstone double story structure with a metal pitched roof, a historical building that has been refurbished recently. After site visit, I’ve developed a three dimensional haptic map to demonstrate the experiences of the site, including the touch, the sound and the subconscious impression, for instances, a shiny door handle is to represents the dynamic shape and the metallic material of the Balmain East Wharf, the collision sound makes from the door handle and wood pieces to represents the percussion of the floating platform caused by waves. Some other interpretation of the site is including: the mirror gives a sense of window reflection; noise comes from a construction site represented by sound from screws...

Over a delicate arch an eyebrow of stone on the unruffled forehead of a wall in joyful and open windows where there are faces instead of geraniums where rigorous rectangles border a dreaming perspective where a stream awakened by an ornament flows on a quiet field of surfaces movement meets stillness a line meets a shout trembling uncertainty simple clarity you are there architecture art of fantasy and stone there you reside beauty over an arch light as a sigh on a wall pale from altitude and a window tearful with a pane of glass a fugitive from apparent forms I proclaim your motionless dance
