ecause stubbornness is a trait that we fail to see in ourselves, it is like having a veil over our eyes. It blinds us to what is true and what is right. Pride is also a downfall. Satan knows how to get to us; he knows our weaknesses. He trips us up and causes blockages in our walk with God. When we refuse to confess our sin and continue to live in sin, our bodies waste away and we groan all the day long. Our days can be miserable, spent in the isolation of secrecy. Likewise, when God’s hand of discipline is heavy on us, our strength evaporates like water in the summer heat. Our conscious is a constant reminder when something is not right in our lives… It is the Holy Spirit convicting us. Psalm 32:9 says, “Do not be like a senseless horse or mule which have no understanding, that must be harnessed with a bit and bridle to keep it under control.” Forgiveness is such a powerful word. It gives us the power to forgive our enemies or friends

When seeking Forgiveness, we should always remember to be specific in our prayers. When we are specific in asking God to forgive us, in what we have done wrong, we will be more prone to turn away from our sins and sin no more.
As Christians, we are so blessed to have the word of God to guide us. Let us go forward and live by all of His words about forgiveness.

Paul, Apostle of Christ “Their Faith Challenged an Empire”
T
he film tells the story of Paul, known as Saul, a ruthless Pharisee who persecuted Christians before his conversion to Christianity. The movie focuses on this pivotal figure in the formation of the early church before being executed by Emperor Nero in Rome. Luke, the Evangelist and physician, enters Rome secretly. As he enters, he witnesses many Christian victims being set on fire as human torches in the nighttime streets. Luke was sent by other Christian towns outside of Rome to meet with Paul and to persuade him to help in writing an account of his wisdom. Luke meets with
Aquila and Priscilla, the leaders of the Christian community hiding out in Rome, who at the time are debating on whether to stay in Rome to continue to help the persecuted Christians of Nero's games or to leave the city with their community to avoid death. Paul has been imprisoned for his strong influence as a Christian leader that made him a threat to Nero's power and the Roman Empire. Mauritius Gallus, the newly appointed prefect of the prison, accuses Paul of burning half of Rome to the ground under Nero's decree and sentenced him to death. Luke then forged papers to sneak into the prison to joyfully greet a very tired and beaten man. Paul and Luke both realize that Paul's life on earth is soon coming to an end. So Luke convinces Paul to write on how he, formerly known as Saul of Tarsus, came to be one of Christianity's great leaders. Paul begins narrating his origins, where as Saul of Tarsus, he witnessed the martyrdom of Stephen at their hands for expressing his faith in Jesus. This event made Saul vow to destroy all Christians. At this point, Paul tells of how he hunted down and
killed many Christians until he came across Jesus on the road to Damascus with his brethren. Paul became blinded by the light of Jesus’ presence and heard His voice ask why Saul was persecuting Him. This event along with Saul's meeting with Ananias, a disciple of Christ, humbles Saul so deeply that he repents. Ananias restores Saul's sight and baptizes him in the name of the Lord, which leads him to reject his old name and become Paul. While in prison, he interacts with the prefect Mauritius and Luke. Mauritius is curious about Paul and seeks to learn how one man can have such a profound effect on the empire. Luke, his friend and caretaker, takes this opportunity to write the Acts of the Apostles, the history of the early church with the persecutions of Christians under Nero fully underway. As times gets closer to his execution, Paul struggles with God's forgiveness of his sins. He must remember God's grace and at the end says, "Where sin abounds, grace abounds more." The movie grossed 22.6 million worldwide on a budget of 5 million. Starring Jim Caviezel, Olivier Martinez, James Faulkner, Joanne Whalley, John Lynch. Director Andrew Hyatt Producers David Zelon, T. J. Berden

Jeremy Camp's The Answer Jesus...Is The Answer...
ultiple award winning Grammy nominee artist Jeremy Camp released this album late last year. This is my first album of Jeremy's and it won't be my last. His music is full of energy, it gets you moving, it’s upbeat, it lifts you up, which is great if you need to get things done around the house or office... pop this CD in and start working! It's also relaxing at the same time; every song is amazing and enjoyable. Jeremy Camp appeared on the Christian music scene with his breakout hits "Walk by Faith" and "I Still Believe." These songs were born from the deep grief of losing his first wife to cancer. Jeremy channeled all of his pain into music and he chose to share his story by creating songs of healing through his ministry for all who would listen. Over a decade later, the sound has evolved but the heart of his music is the same. Jeremy's last few albums have proven that gone are the days of his rock roots, and in their place is a worship pop that raises up his ever-present Faith in his music from the beginning. Now Jeremy is ready to move everyone with a new message of hope. The Answer is Jeremy's ninth album. The lead single "Word of Life" kicks off the album with a high energy sound, which has become Jeremy's music signature,
followed by the amazing track "My Defender", which pairs the vibrant beats and are both equally uplifting songs proclaiming who Christ is.
the swamp style sound, closes off the album nicely. The high energy pop sound of Jeremy Camp has been established with a huge impact. It is mixed with a great sound and heartfelt worship that Jeremy leads so well. Also, his lyrics and bold faith have been an amazing part of his ministry right from the beginning. The Answer is yet another success for Jeremy as he keeps proving that the well of quality music isn't empty. The Answer is an amazing statement that the answer to everything in life is Jesus. I know the Answer To every question The solution to every fear I know my help And where it comes from It comes from Jesus. Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, is the only Answer.
"You're my defender/You fight for me, I will remember You're all I need, You are my Healer, My Remedy against the Power of the Unknown, I will not stand alone 'Cause You're my Defender." The Faith filled message in Jeremy's title song "The Answer" contrasts very well with Until next time, God bless you all, "Storm" that has the presence of from everyone here at His Grace. God. Acoustic sounds of "My Father's Arms" and "Heaven's The Answer... Shores (forevermore)" displays "Word Of Life" Jeremy's fantastic vocals. Also, 01 "My Defender" "Never Stopped Loving" and 02 03 "The Answer" "Tell the Whole World" takes "Storm" things to a little slower tempo and 04 05 "My Father's Arms" yet doesn't lose that strength.
The very captivating "Carriers" and "Love so Great" will grasp the attention of his listeners within the opening moments of the songs. "Awake O Sleepers,"

Forgiveness
Because of grace, my life was transformed A change of heart He gave to me Negative emotions are no more He loosed my chains and set this captive free. I once was deep in the miry clay Drowning in bitterness and revenge But now my mouth is full of praise I found in Jesus an eternal friend. He showed me mercy and compassion Cleansed me with the blood of the Lamb Washed away all my transgressions And taught me how to love like Him. I live in happiness because I’m forgiven; It’s my joy to worship You, Lord. Faith, love and hope is stored in heaven; Thank you Jesus, the Light of the world. By Donna Archibald

Does all of the chaos of life keep you awake at night? Is irrational thinking and worry your constant companion?
Could you use some much needed calm in your life?
If the answer is yes, then you’re not alone. According to a research program among women and only second to alcohol and drug abuse amongst men, stress related ailments cost over 300 billion dollars every single year in medical bills and lost productivity for companies.
our anxiety is enough to make us anxious." Max knows what it feels like to overcome with all of the worries and fears of life, as we all do.

In the characteristics of previous books, You'll Get Through This and Fearless, Max is guiding his readers through this scripture and explains all the key concepts of this celebration - asking for help; leaving all of our concerns; and meditation. I'm inspired by this book and those verses were written by Paul at such a very difficult time in his life, yet he lives in joy. "You can't take control of the world, but you can entrust it to God."
"Paul gave all his guilt to Jesus. He didn't numb it, hide it, or deny it. He simply surrendered to Jesus." "We choose to pray, not despair. Peace happens when people pray."
"The good life begins, not when our circumstances change, but when our attitudes towards them change." This is another life changing book from Max Lucado, whose biblical insight brings new dimensions to scripture along with practical applications, holding it all together with personal testimony. This timely book brings hope and light to so many hearts. Until next time, God bless you all, from everyone here at His Grace.

There is More Tour 2018...
T
he "There is More tour, with Pastor Brian Houston and Hillsong Worship, will fill churches as well as sellout arenas and all other venues to capacity.
During this past spring tour, over 40,000 people received strong inspirational messages. They also participated in heartfelt worship every evening, totally focusing on God's amazing love.
When Hillsong took to the stage to an amazing roar of applause, from that point on they opened up with high energy songs. "Go" was the spirited opener, followed by "Mighty to Save" which kicked the amazing evening off on the right foot. The energy of the concert slowed
down a bit during the second half, which is very understandable and necessary, considering the show is very close to three hours long with no breaks This fall, the Australian based Hillsong Church members are again planning this revival that will come to churches and large arenas from coast to coast in the U.S. Hillsong crowds are known to be very loud and joyous. There is singing; there are also loud shouts of praise, with the stunning sound of "With Everything." The amazing thing is, the songs didn't need all that much applause when they finished because the songs were directed towards God, and that is so beautiful. Hillsong always maintains their anonymity throughout the concert, remaining totally focused on the praise towards God. There is no
introduction of the band members. Some of the band members in the back row play in a very low light, showing that they’re not the ones in the spotlight. After all, the music and the concert is all about our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. This is a huge part of the reason of their success. Before we go, I would like to say that I think it's amazing for the very thoughtful act of kindness‌ Hillsong team donates tickets to the local ministries of their sold out shows. These tickets are given to the homeless shelters and others who normally wouldn't be able to attend a concert otherwise. Until next time, God bless you all, from everyone here at His Grace.

Serenity Prayer

GOD
grant me the Serenity To accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace; Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is; Not as I would have it; Trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your Will; So that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next.

The Book of...
Psalm 4: The Safety of the Faithful To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.
Hear me when I call, O God my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? Selah But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The Lord will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah Offer sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the Lord. There are many who say, "Who will show us any good?" Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. You have put gladness in my heart, More than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep, For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 5:
A Prayer for Guidance To the Chief Musician. With flutes. A Psalm of David. Give ear to my words, O Lord,
Psalms
Consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray. My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You. The boastful shall not stand in Your sight; You hate all workers of iniquity. You shall destroy those who speak falsehood; The Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. On an eight stringed harp. A Psalm of David.
But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy; In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple. Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; Make Your way straight before my face. For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; Their inward part is destruction; Their throat is an open tomb; They flatter with their tongue. Pronounce them guilty, O God! Let them fall by their own counsels; Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions, For they have rebelled against You. But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You.
Psalm 6: A Prayer of Faith in Time of Distress
O Lord, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in your hot displeasure. Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am weak; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled. My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O Lord - how long? Return, O Lord, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies' sake! For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks? I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears. My eyes wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of all my enemies, Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. The Lord has heard my supplication; The Lord will receive my prayer. Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.

Your Journey to God
Celia Deegan's Story "Help me." These two words burst out of the desperate heart of a four year old child and became the most powerful prayer I ever prayed. A fog has claimed most of the details surrounding the event itself, but certain things have remained perfectly clear involving my first real encounter with the presence of God. I imagined nothing. The presence I felt that night is the same now and as real to me today at age 51 as it was 47 years ago. Mine was a bad childhood from the very start. I was unplanned and unwanted pregnancy and my mother's opinion of me didn't change the day I was born. What I recall most about the first four years of my life is mostly just a complete absence of love and the acute awareness that my mother hated me. I was afraid of her. I was afraid to talk to her and I was most certainly afraid of the way she talked to me. I spent most of my time wishing that it was bedtime. At least there alone in the darkness and under my blankets, I felt safe. And sometimes, bedtime came earlier than usual and without supper. I never complained. A four year old heart can carry the heavy weight of pain without complaining as a learned coping mechanism, but there were times when I couldn't hold back the tears nor deny the desperation of living
in a cold climate of hostility. I am sure that we are born with the ability to survive anything and I am also sure that the awareness of being hated is absolutely heartbreaking for any child. I'm not sure that it was an actual panic attack but I am sure of one particular night when the ache inside my chest left me gasping for breath. I felt like I was going in and out of consciousness. The little I knew about life at that point left me with the impression that it was nothing I wanted to pursue. This may have been the closest I ever really came to giving up completely before the panic struck. Somewhere in there, as I struggled to breathe, I coughed out two simple words: "Help me..." I choked and I trembled and my little fists were tightly clenched around my blankets. Suddenly, in that moment, an incomprehensible presence of peace and love began to surround me. I began to breathe. The tears stopped. My heart rate slowed as a sweet sense of relaxation came over me. I began to smile, which is something I don't ever remember doing a lot of before that moment. I felt a profound sense of comfort and warmth wash over me and it was then that I felt His presence right there in that room with me. An incredible sense of joy filled my heart. I couldn't see Him, but I knew He was there. And I was in a total state of awe. I didn't know

who He was but I knew He was real. I knew He loved me and I knew that I loved Him. This was my first real taste of true love, in its purest form. And in that moment, I knew that I would always be okay because something in that Divine Presence made me feel certain that I would never lose contact with what I encountered that night. And I never have, not even once, in all these years. In the days, weeks, months and years that followed, despite the storms that would come, I became a joyful child who rarely lost her smile. I'm not sure how it is even possible that a four year old could know in her innermost being that she had come to know and experience her Heavenly Father God, but I just knew. His ways are not our ways and the God I serve is able to open the eyes and the heart of a child to His presence. Of course He can, He's God! It no longer mattered who hated me because I had been touched with a love so incredibly Divine that no human love could ever compare to that. He became my purpose for living as I slowly came into the awareness of God, the Bible, the Church, other believers, etc. The night I met Him left me with an insatiable hunger to know more, to pursue Him for the rest of my life and to seek out the hurting and the broken with the message of God's love.
