For KING & COUNTRY and Convoy of Hope together raise $150,000 for Ukrainian Refugees
T
he Christian group For KING & COUNTRY has partnered with the humanitarian aid organization Convoy of Hope to raise more than $150,000 for all the victims of this war for the Ukraine refugees. Luke and Joel Smallbone who are a four-time Grammy Award winning band, had a free online concert back on March 24th from the Mojave Desert in California. Over 300,000 people had attended the live stream event on Facebook and YouTube as they performed songs from the new album, "What Are We Waiting For?" Luke and Joel said during an interview that the idea of a fundraising concert came from advice their father had given them when they were both young. He said, "When people are in need, you help. You know, everybody can play a part; everybody
can do something." Luke said, "For us, this is our way to hopefully help people that are being displaced that

Convoy of Hope said, "The money they are helping raise will bring much needed relief to people inside Ukraine and refugees in the different areas of the country." Convoy of Hope will supply shelters, food, hygiene kits, sanitation, and many other supplies that are desperately needed by the Ukrainian refugees in the surrounding countries.

For KING & COUNTRY released their new album "What Are We Waiting For?" on March 11th; it's the group's fifth album. This album has hit number 7 on the Billboard 200 charts and number 2 overall on Billboard's Top Album Sales Charts. It's the Smallbone brothers Joel and Luke's second album to jump into the Top 10 charts.
