The title of this book is just one word: Jesus; oh, but what a powerful word it is! This book was written by Max Lucado. He is a teaching minister of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas. He is also one of America's best selling inspirational authors.

Jesus is a very good book written by a great storyteller; he puts a different light on the life of Jesus. It doesn't matter if you're a believer or taking your first steps to becoming a Christian; you will enjoy reading this, as I have.

As a believer, you need to have a relationship with Jesus and this book will start you on that journey. He shows you the person Jesus was on earth and how you can have that relationship with Him. The book is divided into six sections: Immanuel, Friend, Teacher, Miracle Worker and Lamb of God.

Each chapter is a wonderful story for you to really get to know Jesus, the man from the Greatest Story Ever Told.

For thirty three years that Jesus was on the earth, He went through everything that we encounter in our lives today and so much more. Don't think for a single moment Jesus couldn't possibly know what you're going through, because He does and He cares. And no matter what it is, Jesus will be with you every step of the way.

In the pages of Max Lucado's book, he takes you there when Gabriel told Mary she would conceive a child and His name would be Immanuel. You're in the stable where Jesus was born and through His ministry when He healed the sick and performed many miracles, when He was crucified and nailed to a cross for our sins.

Finally, the greatest day was when the risen Christ defeated death for our salvation. Then Jesus was received into Heaven so all who truly believe are saved, as Jesus is the only way to Heaven.

Jesus is knocking at the door of your heart. All you have to do is open it and invite Him in; you will be forever changed.

Max Lucado's hope as you read the pages of his book: "May the Hero of all history talk to you personally, and may you find in Him the answer to your deepest needs." Philippians 4:4 "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!" John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
