This project centers on innovating the use of plywood in construction ALED DABABNEH (14225876) by employing advanced computational NH TRIET TRAN (14016695) design and robotic fabrication techniques to create a OC KHANH PHAM (13992654) structurally efficient and NT KIEN PHUOC NGOcompelling (14340083) canopy visually for the DAB courtyard at UTS. It explores the integration of sustainable materials and cutting-edge technology to redefine architectural possibilities while emphasizing structural integrity and environmental consciousness.
ELECTIVE BUILDING ANATOMY ARCHITECTURE MUSEUM
DATE: 2023 (GROUP WORK) LOCATION: SURRY HILL
This project delves into the potential for an architecture museum in Surry Hills. The design approach emphasizes the seamless blending of the museum’s architecture with the context’s topography. By conscientiously aligning the structure with the site’s topography, the intent is to create a space that feels organically rooted in its surroundings. This not only complements the area’s existing landscape but also enhances the museum’s appeal as an inviting and accessible public space. In parallel, the project’s second phase delves into the intricate detailing of the facade elements. This involves a meticulous exploration of the truss system and the incorporation of C-profile glass. These elements are not merely functional but serve as expressive components, shaping a striking visual narrative. Their integration results in the formation of a visually captivating, cantilevered block that serves as the museum’s entrance.
