The Hong Kong Philharmonic Chorus (HK Phil Chorus) has been delighting audiences since its inception in 1980. Over the years, it has showcased a diverse range of choral masterpieces in exclusive collaboration with the HK Phil In 2013, the chorus launched an extensive recruitment campaign that attracted over 450 singers to audition The newly formed ensemble debuted with a performance of Handel ’ s Messiah and has gone on to sing major works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Britten, Haydn and Mahler, under the direction of renowned conductors including Lorin Maazel, Jaap van Zweden, Long Yu and Lio Kuokman . Renowned Maestro Daniele Gatti conducts the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra in a performance of Gustav Mahler ’ s monumental Third Symphony at the 53rd Hong Kong Arts Festival Embodying Mahler ’ s vision of the symphony as a work that “embraces everything”, this six-movement masterpiece traverses a vast emotional landscape – from anguish to love, from earthly passion to transcendent spirituality The performance features mezzo-soprano Michèle Losier; Ladies of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Chorus and the Hong Kong Children’s Choir join for the heavenly fifth movement, “ What the Angels Tell Me”.
Grammy Award-winning conductor Paavo Järvi leads a programme that celebrates simplicity. It begins with Swansong, which was composed by Järvi’s compatriot, the Estonian minimalist composer Arvo Pärt. 1. To avoid duplicate payment, please send one booking form per subscription only via either one booking channels (via online, email, fax or post). Confirmation letter will be sent via email within eight working days upon receiving the subscription form, and tickets will be delivered in August
2. All forms received before the subscription period will be processed after 12nn on the first day of the respective subscription period
3. If you choose to receive physical tickets, please make sure your address and mobile number are correct For those selecting electronic tickets, please double - check your email address
4. Please contact our Subscription Office if you have not received your tickets by 25 August The HK Phil shall not be liable for any loss incurred due to delayed delivery
5. Discount for Free Choice Programme is calculated by the number of programmes Purchase more than one ticket from the same programme or more than one performance of the same programme is counted as one programme only
6. A minimum of three programmes are required for each subscription order Orders for two programmes or less will not be processed
7. Discounts for Free Choice Programme and Concert Series are applicable to standard tickets for selected programmes ONLY It is not applicable for half- priced concessionary tickets Discounts are calculated by each transaction and cannot be carried forward to the next transaction

In the case when a subscriber submits more than one valid booking form on the same day (including separate forms for Concert Series and Free Choice Programme), all such forms will be processed as one combined order, and consecutive seats will be arranged wherever possible The combined order will be processed in the order submission time, subject to the last form on the same day Booking forms submitted on the next day will be treated as separate bookings and processed independently
3. The HK Phil makes every effort to assign seats in subscribers’ preferred zones In case when the preferred zones are fully occupied, seats from other zones may be assigned at our discretion
