U.S. NATIONAL PARKS

Almost all of us have been awestruck by nature at one time or another. Whether it's walking alongside a cool trickling stream, watching a sunset over a mountain ridge, or even hearing the wind blow through the trees in the morning, being outdoors and aware of the world's beauty can make you feel energized and alive. It seems that just being out in nature does your body, mind and soul some good. Some may think that in order to step into nature one has to hop on a plane to visit another countries exotic beauty but that is simply not the case; I would like to propose an exploration and journey of our countries National Parks.

The Purpose

The Process

Setting aside wilderness areas for people to explore the beauty of the United States, while protecting the landscape, plants, and animals for future generations might sound like a modern idea, but it’s not. More than 140 years ago, the United States created the world’s first national park.

I will be traveling to six states and visiting six national parks in a RV rental. Renting an RV will allow me to camp at all park camp grounds.

In 1872, congress set aside 3,400 square miles of land in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming to establish Yellowstone National Park. Today, the national park system includes 401 park areas where people can bike, hike, climb, kayak, camp, see geysers and so much more.

5. Arches National Park, UT

The purpose of this road trip is to inspire people to explore our own countries landscaped and history. This is a trip that one can enjoy with families and friends.

My journey will start at our headcounters, Ontario. 1. Sequoia National Park, CA 2. Zion National Park, UT 3. Yellowstone Nation Park, WY 4. Rocky Mountain National Park, CO

6. Grand Canyon, AZ After driving nearly 3,200 miles my journey will end where it began.

Documentation With so much technology and social media nowadays, it is simple to stay in touch with anyone no matter their location. Using the app TrackMyTour, people will be able to follow me as I travel around the country. I will post pictures and a short caption of my daily explorations. When I return I will let people see my national park passport and I will also document and produce a video of my trip to share in hopes of people visiting more national parks and recreating this road trip with their loved ones.
