He graduated from Central Michigan University and began working with his father-in-law in custom home building. He moved with his family to Hilton Head Island in 2009. His firm, JParker Homes, focuses on residential projects and constructing beautiful custom homes in the Lowcountry. JParker Homes prides itself on quality homes built with experience and professionalism.
John D. Blackmon is the founder and principal architect of JDB Architect, based in Austin, Texas. He is licensed in Texas, South Carolina, and New York. Blake Design has worked exclusively with John Blackmon on over 7 projects in both Texas and Palmetto Bluff. Each collaboration incorporates vernacular elements with modern touches and unique details. John grew up in North Carolina and visited Hilton Head Island with family for over 20 plus years
