How to Talk Like Yoda by Harvey

Okay . . . now I’m going to add something USEFUL to this case file! I think the one thing we can all agree on is that I do the best Yoda impression around here! The important thing is to know what order to put the words in. It is NOT just saying them backward! That’s a common mistake, but WRONG!

I t a lk li k e Y od a ! Y od a li k e t a lk I! See? That stinks! And you can’t fix it just by adding “do” to the end . . . like SOME people do.

Yo da lik e ta lk I do ! 14

Instead, you need to move the subject to the end . . .

I T a lk li k e Y od a Now is the time to add “do” or another verb to help the sentence make sense . . .

Ta lk lik e Yo da I do ! Now add a “hmmm” or a “yes ?”

T a lk li k e Y od a I d o, y e s ? Sometimes it’s better to move the subject AND the verb to the end . . .

H a r v e y is t h e g r e a t e s t !

The gre ate st Har vey is! Try these: The dark side is powerful . You must buy Cheetos for everyone . Fools rush in. Do you judge me by my size? n o se
