life

At Hoburne, we have been working super hard to bring you our brand-new summer issue of our owner’s magazine. This bumper summer issue is packed filled with park updates and news, a summer recipe, plus our recommendation for summer events in the local area to enjoy over the next few months.
We love this time of year as we build up to the peak season. The park looks beautiful, thanks to our hard-working team, we have lots of owners and holidaymakers with us, and it’s fantastic seeing so many of you around the park or enjoying your holiday homes with family.
Sit back with a nice, chilled drink and enjoy our latest owner’s magazine and remember, if you have a photo or story you want to see in the magazine, drop us an email!
Hopefully you have all received an email with a link to our latest owner’s survey. As a loyal owner, we value your feedback, and we believe that with the introduction of regular surveys to our ownership community, we can ensure that we remain committed to offering a high level of customer service across the park. If you have a few moments to spare, we’d appreciate it if you could complete the survey so we can gather your feedback.

Hopefully you have all had the opportunity to experience our new menu. It has become increasingly important that we source our food products responsibly, using as much local fresh produce as possible and stepping away from using processed/manufactured foods.
We wanted to create an eclectic style menu with plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians, and the more health conscious. Every four months, the menu will change to reflect the seasons and to make the best use of local seasonal produce.
Please watch your speed on the park and always adhere to the limit. In these summer months, the park will begin to get busy, and the safety of all pedestrians is paramount.
As we head into the peak season, we would like to kindly remind owners who privately let that leisure passes are mandatory and so please ensure to provide your guests with this information. Guest registration forms will be required for each booking with a minimum notice of 48 hours.

We have welcomed Michelle Tompkins to the team as our new F&B assistant manager. Michelle joins us from Park Dean, Trecco Bay, where she was the assistant complex manager.
We have also welcomed Luke Paget and Andy Bartlett to our grounds team. Luke was a trainee electrician with a previous history of grounds works, and Andy was a shift supervisor for a concrete company for 25 years.
Our new development, Otters Walk, is now open, with new owners moving into their holiday homes. If you’re interested in part exchanging your holiday home, please pop in and see the ownership team.
Partnering with the Cotswold Lakes Trust, we are proud to have sponsored a new guide and a host of information noticeboards to help visitors identify birds on and around the lakes. The Cotswold Water Park is home to thousands of waterbirds, and despite experienced birdwatchers knowing what they’re looking for, we wanted to provide guidance for everyone to make bird-watching as pleasurable as possible.
Please make our new team members feel welcome if you see them around the park.
Eilidh from reception has joined our ownership team as our new sales administrator. Eilidh knows our owners and is doing exceptionally well in the new role.
New for 2023 - our cosy corner in the Brasserie restaurant. For those who want to spend time playing games with the family or even if it’s just reading a book with a coffee.
Our outdoor pool is now open for the summer season, please ensure you’re aware of the pool opening times.
We would like to remind owners and their guests that all dogs on the park should always be under their owners’ control and on a lead.
Following a recent incident, we would like to remind all owners that in accordance with Park Rules, only electric scooters used to support a disability are permitted on the Park. Electric scooters used for any other purpose are not permitted on the holiday park. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
We have been working with a small business to build a tree hive on the park to protect bees. The honeybee population has been struggling due to the loss of habitat and the tree hive provides a much-needed habitat for a colony of bees to inhabit and exist undisturbed. With no bee-keeping experience needed, the hive enables the bees to improve their health while benefiting the local bee population and the surrounding countryside.
After finalising a deal with world-renowned company Bandai Namco, we are thrilled to announce that we have successfully upgraded several arcade machines in the complex. With updated games and more interactive fun, there is plenty to enjoy with family and friends.
Calling all young adventurers and budding Robin Hoods, the leisure team has some new activity offerings starting this year. We are excited for you to join us in our new Junior Archery and Nerf Challenge. Age restrictions apply, book at Reception to secure your spot.
Our maintenance and grounds manager, Paul Ashton, has become a volunteer Bailiff for the Angling Trust. The trust monitors who, when, and where people are fishing and if they have the relevant permissions to do so. This involves logging everything we see during patrols on the trust website and reporting if we see any issues. Paul looks after the four lakes on the park and is trying to achieve a quality, safe and enjoyable place to fish to benefit everyone.
You may have spotted lake closure notices on our Facebook page. The fish all spawn at different times depending on many factors, and while this occurs, we must close the lake to let the fish rest after they spawn. This is normal practice on most lakes in the country.
Some of you may have spotted that we have had solar panels installed on the roof of the indoor swimming pool. Since the installation at the end of March, we have saved over 5,000kg of CO2, which is the equivalent of planting 309 trees.
Our main car park will be busy throughout the summer months. We encourage all owners to the leisure facilities and clubhouse by foot and leave your cars at your holiday homes where possible. If you are using the disabled bays, please have your badges visible in your vehicles.
AE Fisheries are still on the park visiting once a week to help keep the lakes tidy and remove any reeds or plants. It’s a long-term process, but they do a fantastic job, and the lakes look great.
