SPRING ISSUE OF HOBURNE LIFE.

Welcome back to Hoburne, and I hope like us, you are looking forward to a fantastic 2024 season. It certainly feels like it’s been a long, wet and dark winter, but change is in the air, and that glorious spring sunshine is finally here.

This is our first issue of the owner’s magazine for 2024, and there is plenty to update you on what’s been happening on the park over winter and what’s to come later this year. This winter has been extremely wet, and our grounds team has been working tremendously hard in all conditions to keep on top of the park, which hasn’t been an easy task. Despite that, longer days are coming, trees are blossoming, and Easter eggs are in the shops! This magazine is very much for our owners, and we want to hear from you. If you have something you wish to share with the magazine, then let us know. Grab a coffee and enjoy reading.

OWNER LISTENING SESSIONS

The next listening session will take place on 5th April

Sandra Mueller, Director of Operations, Neil Sykes, General Manager and Justin Tress, Park Manager will be available for small groups of owners to join them to talk about whatever is important to you. We will be listening intently to your feedback and following the session a summary of the topics discussed along with responses will be shared with all owners.

Park updates

PARK NEWS

Allow us to introduce Hoburne Naish's newest winter addition Ivy-Rae. We're thrilled to announce the safe arrival of Leanne’s beautiful baby girl, IvyRae, born on the 19th of February. Leanne, our maintenance manager, is currently on maternity leave.

TEAM UPDATES

In December, we bid Blaine a fond farewell as he transitioned to Hoburne Park, as a Maintenance Manager. We now extend a warm welcome to Alan Jones and Eden Barrow, who have seamlessly taken on leadership roles within the Ground and Maintenance team.

Alan, Maintenance Manager is providing maternity cover and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. During his downtime, he enjoys staying active and spending weekends traveling in his campervan with his family.

Eden, our skilled Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor, already has five years’ experience at Hoburne and we invite you to join us in congratulating him on his well-deserved promotion. Outside of work, Eden spends

weekends traveling and playing Ice Hockey, a passion he has cherished since a young age, having travelled the world pursuing this sport.

Celebrating another well-deserved promotion, Becky Rapson has moved from her role as a Housekeeping Supervisor to take the position as the Housekeeping Manager. Becky is a valuable and well-rounded team member and has enjoyed a varied career so far, across many different departments within Hoburne. Outside of work, she enjoys playing darts for a local team!

We are thrilled to extend our warm welcome to Amy Williams, our newest addition to the Hoburne Naish Team. Amy’s career began at Hoburne Cotswolds covering maternity leave as the Leisure Manager and has now been appointed Leisure Manager here at Naish as her permanent position. Amy is a member of a brass band in her free time.

If you happen to spot any of our new team member around the park, don't hesitate to give them a friendly wave or stop for a chat. We are delighted that Shannon Jenkins is our new Entertainment Manager for 2024. We'd like to thank Chiana Sillett for holding the fort.

Gary, Paul, Aaron and Phil are our friendly maintenance team. You will see these faces frequently in the complex and around park. They have been very busy lately making some great park improvements.

A LITTLE REMINDER FOR ANY OWNERS WHO ARE PRIVATELY LETTING

We kindly request the Private Letting Agreement form is completed and the signed copies are returned promptly to reception. Visit the owners' portal to download it. Please do contact naish.reception@hoburne.com if you need any assistance.

It is important that temporary membership passes are bought in advance of your guests arriving for their booking. The guest registration and temporary membership form must be completed at least 48 hours in advance of each arrival. We need this time to process and accept the membership. Please be aware you may be in breach of your licence agreement if any lettings are not adhering to the terms and conditions.

PLEASE NOTE

Please note, when visiting the leisure centre and swimming pools, please park in the Main car park only.

Speed limit is 10mph across the park.

UPGRADES AROUND THE PARK

Our outdoor pool is having a re-vamp, installing new grills, a new set of steps and new lining in the pool. Now all we need is the warmer weather to arrive!

Our venue toilets have had a face lift and now include children’s sinks, to help your littluns to wash their hands.

King prawn linguine with cherry tomatoes, broad beans and peas, finished with salsa verde and Winchester cheese.

This delicious recipe is featured on our new Spring menu. It was created by Milen, our head chef at Cotswolds and is a light pasta dish full of spring flavours.

The pasta recipe makes 2 portions. The salsa verde will make 10 portions, it freezes well, so you can keep the leftovers to use again within 2 months. It makes an excellent dip for nacho chips!

Fv qsos

Hobr Ns m mmr

1. How long have you worked for Hoburne?

a. I started working for Hoburne Naish in October 2022, I started as the Leisure Receptionist, then moved on to running the Activities Den. Since the summer last year I have been working a dual role, supporting main reception/ managed lettings and also running the Activities Den.

2. What has been your biggest achievement since working at Hoburne?

a. It’s the Activities Den. I was given the den as a project back in March 2023. Since then, I have introduced new activities, and it continues to thrive which I am very proud of. My latest achievement is working closely with our Customer Experience Manager to support with managed lettings and the reception team.

3. Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.

a. I’ve seen Justin Bieber in concert 7 times. I started following his music when I was 10. Roll on 15 years and I’m still a big fan. If he was to tour again, I would be getting front row tickets!

4. When you’re not working, what do you like to do in your spare time?

a. I enjoy socialising with friends, binge watching Netflix and spending time with my fiancée (she proposed in Barcelona last August which was just magical).

5. Who is your favourite Sammy Squad character?

a. I grew up with my grandparents owning a caravan at Hoburne Park so I spent a lot of my younger years dancing with the Sammy Squad, my favourite has always been Sammy. I love all sea creatures but I think seahorses are so cool.

1. How long have you been a Hoburne holiday homeowner?

a. Since Easter 2023. Although it feels longer than a year (in a good way!)

2. Why did you pick Hoburne Naish?

a. The views! Simply stunning. It’s a quick hop from home and London too, which means we can use the lodge more frequently.

3. What’s your favourite thing to do whilst staying at your holiday home?

a. BBQ. Rosé. Chill. (I wonder if we can adopt those as our what3words?).

4. What do you love most about being a holiday homeowner?

a. It’s a home from home - turn-key ready for much needed down time, and making memories with friends. Also the proximity to the water for sailing and paddleboardingour spaniel is a big fan of the beach too!

5. What top tip would you give to a new Hoburne holiday homeowner?

a. Don’t forget to look behind - the forest is right on the doorstep. Sun, sea, forest - what’s not to love?
