For the safety and wellbeing of children, children’s swimming pool personal flotation devices are available free of charge at the pool deck areas. Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are for use onboard the Liberty of the Seas and cannot be taken off the ship.

In compliance with our Youth Evacuation Plan, children will be given colored wristbands that correspond with their muster stations. In the event of an emergency, Youth staff will escort all children participating in Adventure Ocean activities to their muster stations for reunification with their parents/guardians.

All Royal Caribbean ships are non–smoking (including e–cigarettes) except for designated areas in the Casino (for active players only while playing) and the specified area on the open decks. Please be sure to properly dispose of cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco.

Walking distance is approx., 30 minutes via Northern Ave, partly along a new Harborwalk & over Northern pedestrian bridge. You can take the Silver Line SL2 bus from Black Falcon Ave. to South Station, (Please note these buses are operated by Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority & not Royal Caribbean Int.,). Taxis are also available at the terminal. WiFi is free and available throughout the cruise terminal.

Due to public health regulations, children in diapers, swim diapers, pull–ups, or who are not completely toilet trained are not allowed in the pools, and whirlpools, or the H2O Zone. The Baby Splash area is designated for children in diapers.

Liberty of the Seas docks very close to the town of Sydney. As you leave the ship, you can’t miss the giant fiddle statue. It is the world’s largest and is an essential photo stop. To get to town and all the main sights, follow the walk along the waterfront or Esplanade to the main street of Charlotte Street. It is about a 10–minute walk to the main street, which has coffee shops, local stores with souvenirs, and a few restaurants. Hop on, hop off buses are available and local taxis. The boardwalk in Sydney is a pleasant walk, and situated just to the right of where we dock. The walk follows on for about 30 minutes, and is a pretty way to see Sydney’s waterfront area, with some snack, coffee, and ice cream vans and stalls along the way if you feel peckish. http://www.sydneyport.ca/

Parents or guardians must not permit any guest in their care under the age of 18 to leave the ship in any port without responsible adult supervision.
Going Ashore
Due to port health regulations, pets, flora/fauna, and food, including fruits, vegetables, and drinks, are not allowed to be taken off the ship when visiting a port. If you are traveling with a service animal, please ensure you have the proper permit required by local regulation. Food will be collected at the pier and returned to the ship for disposal.

It is possible to travel on foot between City Market, Brunswick Square Mall, Market Square & the Mercantile center. The downtown area is approx., 0.3 miles/550 m or a 10 min walk, although there are some hills. Hop On–Hop Of bus tours available, the big pink buses follow 3 routes throughout the city and run continuously throughout the day. Taxis in Saint John are not metered, they use a zone fare system, be sure to ask how much the ride will cost. Here’s how to make your departure experience as seamless as possible. You can also check out channel 20 on your stateroom television for a video overview of this process.
Self-Assist Departure
Avoid the wait by keeping all your luggage with you as you depart the ship. Assigned departure t imes begin at approximately 7:45 am.
Note: This option is not available for guests requiring wheelchair assistance, Royal Caribbean airport transfers or shore excursion s.
Departure Morning
• You are free to depart as soon as the Self -Assist Departure announcement has been made.
Getting Off the Ship
• Tune to channel 20 on your stateroom television for the assigned departure times.
• Once the Self-Assist announcement is made or when you receive a notification via the Royal Caribbean App , proceed from your stateroom or departure lounge to the gangway on Deck 4 with all your luggage.
• Taxis are usually readily available outside the terminal.
Regular Departure
Take advantage of our luggage assistance provided on the night before departure. Assign ed departure times begin at 8:10 am and end at 9:30 am approximately.
Night Before
• Leave your bags with luggage tags attached outside your door by 10:00 pm. Remember to place the luggage tag on one of your carry-on bags so your departure group is clearly identified.
• Keep travel documents, valuables, and essential medications with you.
Note: Guests requiring wheelchair assistance on Royal Caribbean airport transfers and shore excursions are required to check their bags the night before.
Departure Morning
• Head to your designated departure lounge and proceed to the gangway once your departure time is called
Getting Off the Ship
• Once your departure number is called on channel 20 on your stateroom television or when you receive a notification via the Royal Caribbean App, proceed from your stateroom or departure lounge to the gangway on Deck 4 using the elevators nearest to you.
• If you are on a Royal Caribbean shore excursion, please refer to your tour ticket for meeting point and time details. You may collect your bags at the terminal. Taxis will be readily available.
• If you are taking independent transportation, claim your baggage at the area identified by the number on your luggage tag at the terminal, then proceed to your transportation.
• If you require wheelchair assistance, please inform Guest Services by dialing 0 to schedule a time and receive more instructi on.
Note: Wait times at the terminal will be longer for guests traveling with birth certificates instead of passports.
How do I close out my tab?
Your invoice will be mailed to you at the end of your cruise vacation. The credit card you provided at check -in will be automatically charged. You can also add additional gratuities to your SeaPass at Guest Services or leave cash.
There will be a hold when you link your credit card to your onboard account. The hold is used to secure funds for anticipated onboard purchases and will be released within 5 – 7 business days after your sailing
