Wash Up and Watch Out!

To best prevent illnesses, wash your hands with soap and warm water after bathroom breaks and before eating. Feeling ill? Norovirus symptoms include upset stomach, vomiting and diarrhea. Should you experience any of these symptoms, contact our Medical Staff by dialing 51.

Smoking

All Royal Caribbean ships are non–smoking (including e–cigarettes) except for designated areas in the Casino (for active players only while playing) and the open decks. Please be sure to properly dispose of cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco.

GOOD TO KNOW

Seapass Account

You may notice a temporary hold of $99.75 on the credit card your SeaPass card is linked to. The hold is used to secure funds for anticipated onboard purchases and will be released at the end of the sailing once your final charges are settled.

Animal Sighting Advisory

Occasionally, animals may find their way onboard our ships. For your safety, if you encounter any animals onboard, it is prohibited to interact with or touch them. We ask that you please report any sightings or encounters to any of our Officers or Crew.

Assistive Listening System (ALS)

Guests may request and sign out Assistive Listening Systems (ALS) or Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) available at the Guest Service desk.

Children’s Personal Flotation Devices (PFD)

For the safety and wellbeing of children, children’s swimming pool personal flotation devices are available free of charge at the pool deck areas. Personal Flotation Devices (PFD) are for use onboard the Explorer of the Seas and cannot be taken off the ship.

Dubrovnik, Croatia Dubrovnik’s main cruise port is located in Gruž / Kanatfig area about 3 km away from the Old town. Most of the cruise ships dock there although some cruise ships anchor in front of the Town’s Old Port from where visitors are ferried by tender to the shore.

Thick 16th-century stone walls encase the entire Old Town of Dubrovnik. But there are no boundaries on the endless adventures you’ll discover among its orangeroofed ramparts. With a made-for-TV appeal— Game of Thrones was actually filmed here— the city commands your attention with the perfectly preserved Rector’s Palace, elaborate Onofrio’s Fountain, and baroque St. Blaise’s Church, named after the city’s patron saint. You can browse museum collections showcasing Croatian artwork, period furniture and shipbuilding traditions. Stand in awe of the Franciscan Monastery library’s 30,000 volumes. Or to get your heart pumping, go cliff diving into the sea and kayak crystal blue waters, with the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ shimmering in the distance.

Getting around Dubrovnik by bus is very easy and you can get from one side of the city to another in only 20 minutes. Buses are clean and comfortable and fairly affordable.

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 5. Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. Santorini, Greece — Santorini has two ports; Athinios Port and the Old Port of Fira. Both ports are too small for the cruise ships to be docked directly. Hence, you’ll have to rely on a ship’s tender to reach the ports.

Skala is the official name of the cruise port. Skala was an old port serving Thira before the bigger port of Athinios took over. This pier became a tourist hub of sort, a small town of seaside cafés, boat rental agencies and trinket shops.

Arriving at the old port (Skala Pier), there are ways to reach at the top of the cliff which is 260 meters above sea level; The easiest way to travel to and from Fira is by cable car. However, if you choose to walk, we urge you to use caution as conditions may be hazardous due to uneven surfaces and donkey led tours along the narrow pathway into town.

The cable car option . The cable car service runs frequently (please refer to the timetable posted at the terminal). Cable car fees are for single trip only and additional fees for luggages. Tourists can buy tickets only at the terminal by cash or credit card. Individually they can not buy them in advance or online.

Tips for an easy departure

Here’s how to make your departure experience as seamless as possible. You can also check out channel 7 on your stateroom television for a video overview of this process. Please be advised t hat all staterooms must be vacated by 8:00 am.

Express Departure

(Only for guests without Royal Caribbean

Transfer)

• If you wish to leave the ship early, you must carry your own luggage and proceed to the forward gangway located on Deck 1, from 6:30 am to 7:00 am (please disregard the luggage tag number provided in your stateroom)

• Once the Express departure announcement is made or when you receive a notification via the Royal Caribbean App, proceed from your stateroom or public areas to the gangway on Deck 1 with all your luggage.

Regular Departure

Take advantage of our luggage assistance provided on the night before departure. Assigned departure times begin at 6:30 am and end at 9:30 am approximately. You will receive a green luggage tag with a number which represents your departure group. You do not need a confirmation ticket in the case of a transfer; the tag number provided represents your confirmation.

Night Before

• If you are not carrying your own luggage, leave your bags with luggage tags attached outside your door by 10:00 pm. Remember to place the luggage tag on one of your carry-on bags so your departure group is clearly identified.

• Keep travel documents, valuables, and essential medications with you.

Note: Guests requiring wheelchair assistance on Royal Caribbean airport transfers and shore excursions are required to check their bags the night before.

Departure Morning

• Your invoice will be emailed to you after the voyage ends.

• Don’t forget valuables stored in your stateroom safe and leave the safe door open.

• Head to your designated departure lounge and listen to the announcements through the public address system.

Getting Off the Ship

• Once your departure number is called through the public address system, channel 2 on your stateroom television or when you receive a notification via the Royal Caribbean App, proceed to the mid-ship gangway on Deck 1 using the elevators near to the Main Dining Room and Windjammer Café.

• If you are on a Royal Caribbean shore excursion or on a Royal Caribbean Transfer, please collect your bags at the terminal before proceeding to your transportation.

• Please do not proceed to the gangway unless your luggage tag number is called.

• If you require wheelchair assistance, please proceed to The Tavern Bar, Deck 4, between 6:15 am to 9:00 am. Waiting time is approximately 30 minutes.

Your invoice will be mailed to you at the end of your cruise vacation.

There will be a hold when you link your credit card to your onboard account. The hold is used to secure funds for anticipated onboard
