Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 4 . Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App or on your Stateroom TV. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last night of your cruise. A final statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, a $18.00 gratuity ($20.50 for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staf, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 4 . Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App or on your Stateroom TV. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last night of your cruise. How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, a $18.00 gratuity ($20.50 for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. Mountains and waterfalls abound in Milford Sound, one of New Zealand’s top attractions. Called the eighth wonder of the world by Rudyard Kipling, the sound (technically a fjord) is part of Fiordland National Park and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage Site. Suspension bridges, boardwalks and mountain passes take you past stunning valleys and Sutherland Falls.

DOUBTFUL SOUND

Situated in Fiordland National Park, Doubtful Sound is the deepest and second-largest fjord in New Zealand. It was named by Captain Cook because he was doubtful that he would be able to sail his ship back out of the sound. See 619-meter Browne Falls in Hall Arm and 220-meter Helena Falls at Deep Cove. Try to spot dolphins, penguins and fur seals in the waters and shoreline below.

DUSKY SOUND

Dusky Sound lies among Fiordland National Park. Named by Captain Cook when he sailed by at dusk on his first voyage in 1770, this spot holds one of the area’s largest fjords, at almost 25 miles long. During the rainy season, you can spot hundreds of waterfalls splashing down from the verdant green hills into the dark deep waters. Keep an eye out for sunbathing seals in repose on Seal Rock.

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 4 . Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App or on your Stateroom TV. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last night of your cruise. A final statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, a $18.00 gratuity ($20.50 for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staf, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

How to get Ashore in Dunedin, New Zealand

Ovation of the Seas is docked in the nearby port town of Port Chalmers. Port Chalmers is within walking distance from the ship and is worth a walk around for a few shops, cafes, and restaurants. Dunedin is a 20-25 minute bus ride away and we are selling round trip shuttle tickets $10.00 USD per guest per day (age 13 and above) and $5.00 USD per guest per day (ages 4-12) with children 3 and under free. The drop off point in the town is Octagon Square. Tickets can be purchased on the Royal Caribbean App, at the Shore Excursions Desk, Deck 5 or outside on the pier upon arrival. Tickets can be used anytime during the shuttle operating hours of the day. All aboard is 5:30 pm and the last shuttle from Octagon Square is 5:00 pm.

Need a Transfer to the Airport?

Book your transfers to the Sydney airport. Transfers to the airport is $35 USD per person one way. Purchase in the Royal Caribbean app or visit the Guest Services team on Deck 4. The deadline to purchase transfers is Day 9 at noon.

Biosecurity Law

• Biosecurity law prohibits the removal of certain food items from this vessel, whether available onboard or brought on personally. Food items that cannot be removed include: fresh fruit and vegetables; meat of any kind; prepared meals (including sandwiches); dairy products; eggs; and honey. Also, flowers, seeds, or plants cannot be removed. Only commercially and sealed bottled drinking water, chocolates, confectionery, and biscuits are permitted to leave the vessel.

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 4 . How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, a $18.00 gratuity ($20.50 for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staf, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

How to Get Ashore in Wellington, New Zealand

Ovation of the Seas will be docked at Aothea terminal which is within a working port. Guests will need to use the free Transit Shuttle which is provided by the port. The shuttle drop-off point will be at the Government Buildings in town which is approximately 15-minute walk to the heart of downtown.

If you have private tour arrangements or are meeting friends and family, please arrange to meet near to the drop off points as the shuttles don’t stop at the port entrance. Wellington is a small city and can be explored from end to end in a few hours. The trip time into the town on the shuttle is approximately 15 - 20 minutes. All aboard is 6:30 pm with the last shuttle from pick-up point is at 6:00 pm.

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 4 . Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App or on your Stateroom TV. Biosecurity Law

• Biosecurity law prohibits the removal of certain food items from this vessel, whether available onboard or brought on personally. Food items that cannot be removed include: fresh fruit and vegetables; meat of any kind; prepared meals (including sandwiches); dairy products; eggs; and honey. Also, flowers, seeds, or plants cannot be removed. Only commercially and sealed bottled drinking water, chocolates, confectionery, and biscuits are permitted to leave the vessel.

Guests going ashore are requested to present their hand luggage, including backpacks for inspection if requested. Leave it on the ship or risk an instant heavy fine and/or administrative penalty.

Setting Up Your Account

If you did not set up an account during Online Check-In or during boarding in the cruise terminal, you can do so in the Royal App or at the Guest Services Desk on Deck 4 . Onboard Expense Accounts can be set up with a credit card, a debit card, or cash. Our ships utilize a cashless system, so your SeaPass card will be the only way to make purchases while onboard. Please note that a temporary hold of $99.75 will be placed on your card to verify funds. Onboard purchases over $100 will generate additional holds. The hold will be released within 3 to 5 business days after your cruise ends, but can take up to 30 days, depending on your bank. You may add other guests to your expense account by visiting the Guest Services desk. A daily limit can be placed on arcade spending. All charges can be viewed in the Royal Caribbean App or on your Stateroom TV. Printed receipts will be provided for each onboard purchase, and a preliminary statement will be delivered to your stateroom on the last night of your cruise. A final statement will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of departing the ship on the last day of your cruise. Guests on a cash account will need to settle their account at Guest Services prior to disembarking the ship.

How much are gratuities?

If not already pre-paid, a $18.00 gratuity ($20.50 for Suite guests) is added to each guest's onboard account daily to help recognize superior service from crew during your cruise. This gratuity is shared among dining & culinary services staf, stateroom attendants, and other hotel services teams working behind the scenes. In addition to daily gratuities, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all beverage, mini bar items, specialty dining, and spa & salon purchases.

Tips for an Easy Departure

Here’s how to make your departure experience as seamless as possible. You can also check out channel 7 on your stateroom television for a video overview of this process.

• Staterooms must be fully vacated no later than 8:00 am. After you’ve enjoyed breakfast, please head to your designated departure lounge until your departure number is announced or displayed on the ship’s digital screens.

• To avoid the large crowds and the long wait times, take advantage of our Self-Assist program (see details below) or our airport transfer services. If your flight departs after Noon, Royal Caribbean transfers will be available at the terminal to get you to the airport right on time. Book yours today w ith Guest Services by Noon the day before departure.

• Every guest will be processed in the terminal by Australian Border Force. Please insure you have your travel documents ready, and one fully completed incoming Passenger Card per person.

• Australian financial regulations prohibit us to engage in foreign currency cash transactions (including Australian dollars) in Australian waters and while docked in Australian ports. Therefore, we kindly request all guests on cash accounts to please, settle their account or place a credit card on file no later than 10:00 pm, the night prior to arrival into Sydney Harbor.

Self-Assist Departure

Avoid the wait by keeping all your luggage with you as you depart the ship. Assigned departure times begin at approximately 6:45 am and end at 7:45 am.

Note: This option is not available for guests requiring wheelchair assistance, Royal Caribbean airport transfers or shore exc ursions.

Departure Morning

• Your invoice will be emailed to you at the end of your cruise vacation.

• Don’t forget valuables stored in your stateroom safe and leave the safe door open.

• You are free to depart as soon as the Self-Assist Departure announcement has been made.

Getting Off the Ship

• Tune to channel 2 on your stateroom television for the assigned departure times

• Once the Self-Assist announcement, proceed from your stateroom or departure lounge to the gangway on Deck 5 with all your luggage.

• Please be advised that taxis are very limited, especially after 8:00 am. We strongly encourage you to use train service from Circular Quay Station which is short walking distance from the terminal.

Regular Departure

Take advantage of our luggage assistance provided on the night before departure. Assigned departure times begin at 7:30 am and end at 9:30 am approximately. Please be advised that there is no waiting or seating area at the terminal, and it is very important to please wait for your Group number to be called.

Night Before

• If you are not choosing Self-Assist Departure, leave your bags with luggage tags attached outside your door by 10:00 pm. Remember to place the luggage tag on one of your carry-on bags so your departure group is clearly identified.

• Keep travel documents, valuables, and essential medications with you.

• Note: Guests requiring wheelchair assistance on Royal Caribbean airport transfers and shore excursions are required to check their bags the night before. Departure Morning

• Your invoice will be emailed to you by the end of your cruise vacation.

• Don’t forget valuables stored in your stateroom safe and leave the safe door open.

• Head to your designated departure lounge and proceed to the gangway once your departure time is called. Getting Off the Ship

• Once your departure number is called, proceed from your departure lounge to the gangway on Deck 5 using the elevators nearest to you.

• If you are on a Royal Caribbean shore excursion, please refer to your tour ticket for meeting point and time details. You may collect your bags at the terminal.

• If you are taking independent transportation, claim your baggage at the area identified by the number on your luggage tag at the terminal, then proceed to your transportation.

• If you require wheelchair assistance, please meet at Jamie’s Italian, Deck 5, 30 minutes before your assigned departure time. Wheelchair assistance starts at 7:45 am and you must check your luggage.

How do I close out my tab?

The credit card you provided at check-in will be automatically charged. You can also add additional gratuities to your SeaPass at Guest Services or leave cash.

Tips for an Easy Departure

Here’s how to make your departure experience as seamless as possible. You can also check out channel 7 on your stateroom television for a video overview of this process.

• Staterooms must be fully vacated no later than 8:00 am. After you’ve enjoyed breakfast, please head to your designated departure lounge until your departure number is announced or displayed on the ship’s digital screens.

• To avoid the large crowds and the long wait times, take advantage of our Self-Assist program (see details below) or our airport transfer services. If your flight departs after Noon, Royal Caribbean transfers will be available at the terminal to get you to the airport right on time. Book yours today w ith Guest Services by Noon the day before departure.

• Every guest will be processed in the terminal by Australian Border Force. Please insure you have your travel documents ready, and one fully completed incoming Passenger Card per person.

• Australian financial regulations prohibit us to engage in foreign currency cash transactions (including Australian dollars) in Australian waters and while docked in Australian ports. Therefore, we kindly request all guests on cash accounts to please, settle their account or place a credit card on file no later than 10:00 pm, the night prior to arrival into Sydney Harbor.

Self-Assist Departure

Avoid the wait by keeping all your luggage with you as you depart the ship. Assigned departure times begin at approximately 6:45 am and end at 7:45 am.

Note: This option is not available for guests requiring wheelchair assistance, Royal Caribbean airport transfers or shore exc ursions.

Departure Morning

• Your invoice will be emailed to you at the end of your cruise vacation.

• Don’t forget valuables stored in your stateroom safe and leave the safe door open.

• You are free to depart as soon as the Self-Assist Departure announcement has been made.

Getting Off the Ship

• Tune to channel 2 on your stateroom television for the assigned departure times

• Once the Self-Assist announcement, proceed from your stateroom or departure lounge to the gangway on Deck 5 with all your luggage.

• Please be advised that taxis are very limited, especially after 8:00 am. We strongly encourage you to use train service from Circular Quay Station which is short walking distance from the terminal.

Regular Departure

Take advantage of our luggage assistance provided on the night before departure. Assigned departure times begin at 7:30 am and end at 9:30 am approximately. Please be advised that there is no waiting or seating area at the terminal, and it is very important to please wait for your Group number to be called.

Night Before

• If you are not choosing Self-Assist Departure, leave your bags with luggage tags attached outside your door by 10:00 pm. Remember to place the luggage tag on one of your carry-on bags so your departure group is clearly identified.

• Keep travel documents, valuables, and essential medications with you.

• Note: Guests requiring wheelchair assistance on Royal Caribbean airport transfers and shore excursions are required to check their bags the night before. Departure Morning

• Your invoice will be emailed to you by the end of your cruise vacation.

• Don’t forget valuables stored in your stateroom safe and leave the safe door open.

• Head to your designated departure lounge and proceed to the gangway once your departure time is called. Getting Off the Ship

• Once your departure number is called, proceed from your departure lounge to the gangway on Deck 5 using the elevators nearest to you.

• If you are on a Royal Caribbean shore excursion, please refer to your tour ticket for meeting point and time details. You may collect your bags at the terminal.

• If you are taking independent transportation, claim your baggage at the area identified by the number on your luggage tag at the terminal, then proceed to your transportation.

• If you require wheelchair assistance, please meet at Jamie’s Italian, Deck 5, 30 minutes before your assigned departure time. Wheelchair assistance starts at 7:45 am and you must check your luggage.

How do I close out my tab?

The credit card you provided at check-in will be automatically charged. You can also add additional gratuities to your SeaPass at Guest Services or leave cash.
