SERVICE LEADER PROGRAM STUART
“Without leaders, justice is just a dream.”

Congratulations and welcome to Hofstra University!
We are excited to announce the Rabinowitz Honors College Service Leader Program.

This program is designed to connect first-year students with local communities and instill a lasting commitment to service. Under the guidance of the Rabinowitz Honors College (RHC) staff and current student leaders, each team will work with nonprofit and community organizations, providing research, outreach, and direct service. This unique program gives RHC students the chance to gain practical experience, build leadership skills, and see firsthand the value of making a positive impact — a transformative start to their Hofstra journey.
We are looking for students who are:
• Dedicated to volunteering and interested in rising into leadership roles in one of RHC’s and Hofstra’s many community service programs.
• Incoming RHC students enrolled in fall 2025 and able to live full time in provided housing with their group members from August 23-27, 2025. If you need special accommodations with housing, please let us know.
What are the costs and perks?
• This program is free of charge for the selected students.
• All meals and transportation during the program are included.
• All activities and trips will be paid for by RHC.
• Free on-campus housing is provided.
If you are interested in applying, please submit your application at hofstra.edu/slapp.
