The Department of Marketing and International Business, Frank G. Zarb School of Business, offers a unique summer program in Beijing, Tianjin, and Shanghi China! Program Description

Costs

During Summer Session I, the Department of Marketing and International Business offers a study abroad program for both undergraduate and graduate students. Classes offered are MKT 170/IB 170 and MKT 220, International Marketing (three credits each). The program includes three (3) weeks of class on-campus at Hofstra, and two weeks of class and travel in China.

The estimated program fee is $2,500, plus standard Hofstra University tuition and fees for three (3) credits. The program fee covers round-trip airfare, lodging and travel expenses in China, and other miscellaneous expenses.

Prerequisites For MKT/IB 170, the prerequisites are 58+ credits (junior standing), and successful completion of MKT 101. The program will count as an elective for marketing majors and minors, fulfill a requirement for the IB major and minor, and count as an elective for all other majors in the Frank G. Zarb School of Business.

Travel Overview We will visit three cities while in China: Beijing, the capital city and the political and cultural center of the country; Tianjin, a major port city and commercial center on the Bohai Bay, east of Beijing; and Shanghai, the “New York City� of China. Accommodations are provided by the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), in Beijing China.
