Frequently Asked Questions Q: Where do I have to pay rent? A: Rent should be paid at the front office of the rental company Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen. For contact information please visit https://www.vestiarotterdamstadswonen.nl/en/ . Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen does not accept cash payments. The payments for students staying in the U-building should be paid at the office of the building manager. Please do not transfer the rent to the account number which you used to pay the housing deposit. Q: Do I have to pay for Internet? A: Rent includes internet, local taxes, gas, electricity and water costs. Q: Can I cancel my housing contract? A: After signing the housing contract it is not possible to change or cancel the housing contract. If you decide to move out before the end date, you still have the obligation of paying rent till the end date of the housing contract. Q: How do I get medical help? A: If you need to see a doctor we suggest you go and see Doctor Oudeman Dr. I.H.P. Do not forget to ask for the receipts as your insurance company will need these. Q: Who do I contact if I lose my key (card)? A: On weekdays from 9.00 - 16.30 hours you can pick up a new key (card) at Student Housing Office. The charges are â‚Ź 30,00. After 16.30 hours and during weekends you can call Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen's emergency phone number 088-124 24 00. The service of the emergency desk is not free of charge. Always make sure to ask for the charges. Q: Who do I contact when having problems with my furniture? A: You can contact Student Housing Office at studenthousingoffice@hr.nl Q: Who do I contact when having technical problems? A: You can contact Student Housing Office at studenthousingoffice@hr.nl or go to the resident assistant or Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen's technical service desk at reparatieverzoekenbureau@vestia.nl


Q: When will I get back the deposit? A: Two - three months after you have delivered the proof of registration and the bank information form (complete), the transfer procedure will start. Keep in mind that you will only get back the deposit if you do not have any unsettled debts with Vestia Rotterdam Stadswonen or Student Housing Office and your room is in good condition when moving out. Q: Are guests allowed to stay the night? A: Guests are not allowed to stay at night in your room. Only one guest at the time can visit you in your room. Please make sure to ask your unit mate and Student Housing Office for permission. Safety regulations require you to provide Student Housing Office with the full name of your guest. Q: Can I keep pets in my room? A: Pets are not allowed.
