I carry three different outfits that allow me to cast the entire spectrum of striper and albie lures which boil down to #1 my "heavy rod" (big plug/swim-baits (1 5 to 4oz), #2 my "medium rod" (3/4 to 1 5oz) and #3, my "all things under 1oz " outfit in no particular order I frequently use each of the three on the same trip as I might be trying to imitate different baitfish in different situations I might encounter during a single trip My outfits are based around lure size They can all handle very big fish! While makes and models have changed for me over thee years, I've relied on these 3 outfit sizes over the for years for 95% of my inshore fishing
