23 years of Hola America

On August 28, Hola America celebrates 23 years of bringing you the news that matter to and about the Hispanic community in Illinois and Iowa. These last 23 years have been a very pleasant experience, hard at times but very satisfying at the same time.

Our success is thanks to the acceptance you as the reader give us with each issue. And that is why this anniversary is a celebration of you. Thank you.

I would like to thank all our collaborators who help create this newspaper that you have in your hands. Thank you Anastassia Zvoryguina, Nick Cunningham, José Murillo, Luis Lara, Antonio Varela, Feliciano Hernández, Juan Fourneau and our Chicago correspondent Amelia Orozco. And to all the other collaborators that with their help Hola America is created and our website is updated.

And all the people who in their time have been part of the Hola America and Hola Iowa teams. Thank you very much.

To my dear wife Erika and my family for their patience and the sacrifices they have made, sometimes due to my selfishness and ignorance they have come to take second place in work priority. But in my heart, they are always the priority. Thank you.

And to our sponsors, thanks to them Hola America is a free publication. They are the ones who with their financial support make this possible. Thank you all with all my heart for these 23 years, and we hope that with your permission as readers, Hola America will continue serving you.

Sincerely,

Tarsicio Macias Hola America Publisher
