La Gran Feria Educativa Consular acercará información en español sobre becas y programas educativos a la comunidad latina de Chicago

Chicago, IL - Por primera vez, el Consulado General de México en Chicago celebrará la Gran Feria Educativa Consular. En este evento gratuito, nuestra comunidad podrá obtener información en español o inglés sobre asistencia financiera y becas educativas, programas de educación superior, programas de educación para adultos, clases para aprender inglés y más.

Asimismo, el Consulado ofrecerá libros de texto en español gratuitos y habrá conferencias sobre temas educativos. Esta actividad forma parte de la Semana Binacional de Educación 2023, organizada por el Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior.

La Gran Feria Educativa Consular se llevará a cabo el sábado 19 de agosto de 2023, de 10 am a 3 pm en el Gim- nasio de McKinley Park (2210 W. Pershing Rd. Chicago, IL, 60609).

Participan instituciones y organizaciones como: Chicago State University, Dominican University, Girls in the Game, Harold Washington College, Illinois Institute of Technology, Illinois Student Assistance Commission, Indiana University South Bend, Instituto del Progreso Latino y Plaza Comunitaria, Loyola University, Malcolm X College, National Louis University, Northeastern Illinois University, Plaza Comunitaria Casa Michoacán/FEDECMI, Plaza Comunitaria”Alfa” - SD 219, PODER, Polish American Association, Quiroga College, Southern Illinois University, St. Augustine College, University of Illinois at Chicago y Wilbur Wright College, entre otras.

El Departamento de Parques y Recreación de Moline está agregando un nuevo servicio al sistema de parques de Moline.

La construcción de dos canchas de fútbol de minicancha en Stephens Park comenzará en las próximas semanas. Las canchas tendrán doble propósito, tanto para baloncesto como para fútbol sala, y se instalarán en el espacio verde en el lado oeste del parque, a lo largo de 4th Street. La actual cancha de baloncesto también será removida durante este proceso.

Este es un proyecto realmente emocionante ya que Moline será la primera ciudad en la QCA en instalar este tipo de cancha.

Chicago, IL - For the first time, the General Consulate of Mexico in Chicago will celebrate the “Gran Feria Educativa Consular” Mexican Consulate’s Education Fair. At this free event, our community can obtain information in Spanish or English about financial aid and educational scholarships, higher education programs, adult education programs, classes to learn English, and more.

The Consulate will also provide free textbooks in Spanish and there will be workshops on educational topics. This activity is part of the Binational Education Week 2023, organized by the Institute for Mexicans Abroad.

The Mexican Consulate’s Education Fair will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023, from 10 am to 3 pm at the McKinley Park Gymnasium (2210 W. Pershing Rd. Chi- cago, IL, 60609).

Moline Parks and Recreation Department is adding a brand new amenity to the Moline parks system. Construction on two Mini-Pitch Soccer Courts at Stephens Park will begin in the upcoming weeks. The courts will be dual-purpose for both basketball and futsal and will be installed in the green space on the west side of the park, along 4th Street. The current basketball court will also be removed during this process.

This is a really exciting project as Moline will be the first city in the QCA to install this kind of court.
