Coronation of the first Charra Queen of Iowa

Des Moines, IA.- On Sunday, March 19, history was made in the state of Iowa. It was the coronation of the first Charra Queen of Iowa, Ms. Alejandra Piña of Des Moines, IA. The Union of Charro Associations of the State of Iowa crowned Queen Alejandra I in an official ceremony that was attended by Veronica Mal- donado, Secretary of the Union of Associations of the State of Minnesota; Jennifer Márquez Piña, Queen of the Minnesota State Association Union; Juan Piña, President of the Iowa State Associations; Jose Antonio Piña, President of Rancho Carretero; and José Jimenez among the association officials present.
