Great Southern is the newest Australian rail adventure from Journey Beyond. Only available in December and January, the journey features rugged coastlines, sun-kissed beaches, forested peaks, and exhilarating capital cities.

From Adelaide, it’s a two-night, three-day journey to Brisbane, stopping at the stunning Grampians along the way. Disembark and immerse yourself in the beauty of the Grampians National Park before continuing to the nation’s Capital, Canberra, where you’ll get the chance to explore some of its highlights. Finally, a stop on the breathtaking northern New South Wales coast will be another highlight of your journey before reaching your final destination of Brisbane.

From Brisbane, it’s a three-night, four-day journey through to Adelaide. Enjoy a beachside dining experience on the northern New South Wales coast before continuing south to world-renown wine region, the Hunter Valley. Continuing from here, travel overnight where the Off-Train Excursions include Melbourne, Geelong or regional Victoria and the Great Ocean Road.
