KIDS ON THE MOUTAIN
Ski lessons begin from ages 6 -17 with full day programmes which include a healthy and delicious lunch. Children aged 2 - 5 can join the Kitty Cat Club for 2 hours of snow play and lessons which includes the use of skis and boots. Group lessons are capped at just 5 kids per instructor.
GETTING THERE
Treble Cone offers free daily shuttles leaving from Wanaka. Alternatively, self-drive to the mountain or take a free shuttle from the base of the access road.

How well do I have to ski to go Heli-skiing?

Ideally you are a strong intermediate skier/boarder or better, with a sense of adventure. Harris Mountains Heli-Ski has exclusive access to extensive terrain including easy rolling terrain for powder first timers, wide open bowls and challenging chutes with steep valleys for the more experienced. You’ll be part of a group of four led by a guide who is committed to your safety and enjoyment of this alpine environment. How does the weather affect Heli-skiing?
If adverse weather prevents flying, clients will receive a full refund. If some heli-skiing is possible but less than the guaranteed vertical, they will refund NZ$100 per run. Note: Refunds are not given due to lack of ability, lack of fitness or injury.
How does the Heli-ski day work?
After an early morning weather check, we collect you from your accom & take you to the staging area. Start with a safety briefing covering avalanche transceivers, helicopter and mountain safety, before flying off to the first heli-ski run. All groups meet for a alpine buffet lunch with time to relax. The afternoon is back to the ultimate - more heli-ski runs.
Do I need powder skis?
No but the new wide body powder skis will assist you to ski even better, we can recommend a variety of hire equipment retailers.
How long are the runs?
Run length varies depending on the terrain and snow conditions. Our exclusive terrain offers runs that vary between 2000 and 2500 vertical feet of treeless skiing in sheltered basins, bowls and wide rolling mountain flanks through to steep and gnarly chutes.
What do I need to bring?
Prices
You will need to bring your skis/board or hire equipment & warm clothing - a windproof jacket and pants, warm gloves, sunglasses or goggles and sunscreen. The day is spectacular, so bring a camera to capture your heli-ski day.

Mt Ruapehu offers a full day package for kids (4+) that includes lift passes, lessons, lunch and full care while parents enjoy the upper mountain. Valid for levels 1-4 and is a great chance for kids to improve their snow skills.

GETTING THERE
Ohakune is the closest town to the Turoa ski area and is only a 20 min drive from the town to the ski field. The roads can easily be self-driven and are tarsealed or you can catch a shuttle from your hotel for ease and comfort heading up the slopes.

Nothing you have experienced will have you prepared for the excitement & thrill of a Shotover Jet ride. From the moment the accelerator hits the floor, your adrenaline hits the roof. It’s an amazing white water ride, as the Shotover Canyon walls tower over you, your expert driver puts his state-of-the-art Big Red Jet Boat through its paces. He will skillfully whip the powerful boat past rocky outcrops, skim around crags and boulders, and speed through the dramatic and narrow canyons. Rock faces blur in your peripheral vision and the water sprays into a myriad of white water crystals with every turn. It’s an adrenaline rush you’ll never forget.
It takes a certain kind of person to jump out of an aircraft at 15,000 feet into thin air. It takes courage. Harnessed to an experienced Jumpmaster, expect sensory overload as you step out of the aircraft door, and for up to 60 seconds freefall at 200kph/124mph. You must choose to go through life able to say, “I did it”, instead of knowing you had the opportunity and turned it down. Achievement doesn’t come sweeter. Maximum weight is 115kg/253lbs. BOOKING INFORMATION & CONDITIONS VALIDITY
This brochure is valid for sale from Jan 2019 for travel from Jun to Oct 2019 unless otherwise stated. All details in this brochure reflect information available to Australia New Zealand Central Reservations Office Ltd (herein after referred to as ANZCRO) at the time of printing (Jan 2019). ANZCRO reserves the right to amend any details without notice. Ask your Travel Agent to confirm details at the time of booking.
DEPOSITS
A non-refundable deposit of $110 per person is required within 6 days of confirmation. This will guarantee your confirmed holiday price. Some activities/products have their own strict deposit regulations which you will be made aware of at the time of booking. Failure to pay the deposit within 6 days of confirmation will result in automatic cancellation of all travel arrangements.
PACKAGES
Prices are per person, multishare as stated and are subject to availability. Packages are valid for sale to 30 Apr 19. Prices shown are for travel in August 19. Surcharges and discounts may apply for travel at other times or for bookings made outside the sale to date. Please enquire for prices. Prices are correct at time of print (Jan 19) but are subject to change without notice. Ski product included in the packages are non-refundable. Ski conditions & season length vary from year to year. Where a Hertz vehicle is included in a package please see page 40 for detailed hire conditions & excess reduction options. The airport pick up fee has been included in the package price. As this is on offsite airport location there is no airport pick up fee to pay.
CANCELLATION PENALTIES
PAYMENTS
Full payment is due 30 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 30 days of intended travel are to be paid in full immediately upon confirmation. Certain special airfares may require payment immediately upon booking. In the event that ANZCRO agrees to the acceptance of Credit Card payments, they will be made available through special arrangement with the Travel Agent, ANZCRO reserves the right to charge a fee to the Credit Card Holder for this service.
LATE BOOKINGS
ANZCRO reserves the right to charge a late booking fee of $33 to cover additional costs associated with bookings made within 10 days of travel.
AMENDMENTS
First time amendment is FREE. All additional amendments are liable to a maximum charge of $33 per amendment. Once Travel Documents have been issued, all amendments will be charged. Airline tickets have additional amendment charges. Please ask your Travel Agent. Note: If amendments are made, pricing for the full item will reflect the exchange rate valid at the time of the amendment.

Generally in New Zealand the ski season operates from mid-June to the end of September. ANZCRO takes no responsibility for the start and finish dates for skiing at any New Zealand ski fields.

All prices in the brochure are expressed in Australian dollars. All pricing for New Zealand include New Zealand Goods & Services Tax. ANZCRO reserves the right to amend without notice, any prices in this brochure. We refer particularly but are not limited to amendments due to currency exchange fluctuations, the withdrawal or adjustment of contracted rates with land & service providers, New Zealand or Australian Government charges & printing errors. Rates in this brochure reflect information available to ANZCRO at the time of printing (Jan 2019) & all possible care has been taken in its compilation. DOCUMENTATION
A valid passport is required by all travellers to New Zealand. Those not travelling on an Australian Passport may require a Visa. This is the travellers responsibility. Air Tickets and Travel Vouchers will be issued after full payment has been received by ANZCRO. Documents will be forwarded to the Travel Agent by standard mail. If Express Post or a Courier is required, a fee will be charged at ANZCRO’s discretion.
