Dupioni Silk is woven from a fine yarn in the warp with a coarser, more uneven yarn in the weft. The weft yarn is produced from silk that has been reeled from two or more entangled cocoons. The irregular imperfections created by this process become inherent characteristics of the Dupioni Silk fabric.

Dupioni Silk Characteristics • They are crease resistant • They can take a permanent crease easily • They are reversible – it is acceptable to use either side of the fabric • Their irregular texture is considered to be a natural attribute • They have NO natural elasticity so it is very important to measure accurately before cutting
