L ADIESWEAR Historically inspired by the heathers and gorses of the Scottish hillside, Ladieswear tweeds are distinctive and unique in many ways. Each fabric has been carefully created with colour, weave and texture in mind. The intimate use of colour, the fusion of multiple, exotic fibres and the intricate interlacing constructions enhance the fabrics appearance, drape and handle, giving each and every one of them their very own unique signature. These colourful tweeds have been co-ordinated with luxurious stretch cottons and opulent jacquards, creating a collection of fabrics suitable for any occasion.

COTTON CL ASSICS Holland & Sherry’s Cotton Classics collection offers a comprehensive range of Italian cottons available in a variety of fabric qualities and weights to suit every occasion. The collection includes our familiar light and mid-weight gabardine qualities woven with 2% elastane. Elastane bestows comfort, strength and durability, but above all, elasticity to the cotton. The elasticity factor is around 16% allowing the garment to retain its shape both during and after wear. Also included are our traditional brushed drill and rigid gabardine qualities, renowned worldwide for their excellent tailoring and wearability properties. Changes in social habits have seen an increased interest in a more casual approach to clothing and to greener more traceable products. Recognising this, we have updated and consolidated all our cotton fabrics into one bunch, making it easier to access all our luxury cotton fabrics together. Additionally, we can proudly state that some qualities in the collection are now woven from cotton fibre, organically grown from a fully traceable and sustainable source, thus having a positive impact on our planet’s ecosystem and without any compromise in quality, Whether it’s for business or leisure attire, this collection has been assembled with a greener future in mind, and offers endless possibilities for the ever-growing casual approach to bespoke clothing. Azure is a new range of blue themed, lightweight summer suiting fabrics woven from a 17-micron, Super 130’s, non-mulesed wool. The panama construction, more commonly known as plain weave, lends itself to warm, sunny climates. The balanced open structure allows air to circulate and moisture to evaporate through the ultra-fine micron wool fibres, keeping the body cool, dry and comfortable. The colour and design of each cloth has been carefully considered to depict the most popular shades of blue in a variety of tonal and contrasting contemporary checks. Luxury Lightweight Jacketings
CRYSTAL SPRINGS Crystal Springs luxury jacketings for Spring/Summer 2022 is an updated collection of window-pane and mock glenplaid designs in a range of attractive colours, including fashionable, contemporary tones as well as the familiar classics. Woven from either plain weave or twill constructions, in compositions of Super 130’s wool worsted merino or wool silk linen blends, we are certain that this comprehensive collection will suit all tastes. Cloths woven from a Super 130’s merino wool yarn and constructed from a 2/2 twill have a luxurious, soft handle, with good drape and strength qualities. These cloths have good crease recovery properties due to the natural crimp of the wool fibre. The crimp provides natural elasticity, making it comfortable to wear and easy to tailor. The wool-linen-silk blends offer a more relaxed appearance, and have a crisper, more textured handle. Both linen and silk are extremely durable, hold their shape well and provide a garment with depth, and an inherent natural beauty.

Jersey Jacketing
JJ ONE JJ One; the one and only jersey-knit jacketing fabric that tailors impeccably, surpassing all expectations. The collection includes a series of double-faced fabrics that allow for a multitude of tailoring possibilities. When tailored with the preferred relaxed structure and no lining to mask the jacket interior, contrast taped seams become a decorative feature. All cloths in the range are knitted on a double-front circular knitting machine and have a nylon binder enforcing the relationship between face and back where unlike their woven counterparts; the two can never be separated. The machine itself has two sets of needles that lie perpendicular to each other. When operational they knit both face and back in tandem to form a cylinder, which is then cut open at the end of the process. Knitted fabrics are run resistant, meaning they shouldn’t snag and form a hole. Their stitches are close, tight and in neat alignment, forming a series of vertical ribs across the width of the cloth’s surface. In many cases these fabrics are less elastic than their counterparts, making them easier to tailor and more durable to wear. Compared to the familiar classic, structured blazer that we have all enjoyed over the years, there is an increasing demand for a relaxed alternative, something for those occasions where pure comfort is of the utmost importance. JJ One offers that alternative. Perfect for winter layers and summer dress downs, the cloths in this collection drape and enhance the body’s natural features, making them both flattering and comfortable to wear.
