ABA Releases New Book by Veteran Litigator Dan Small_ Lessons Learned

Holland & Knight Partner and veteran litigator Dan Small has authored a new book, Lessons Learned from a Life on Trial, published by the American Bar Association (ABA). The book includes stories of landmark cases that Mr. Small worked on and provides insight on what these cases can teach trial lawyers. The book was released on Feb. 8 and is available to purchase on the ABA website

In Lessons Learned , Mr. Small brings together his knowledge of trials and teaching, recounting stories of real cases from around the country that are entertaining, thought-provoking and enlightening. Mr. Small's teachings are invaluable for both young lawyers and experienced hands, as the book serves as a tool for practicing attorneys to become better trial lawyers and more appreciative students of the process.

A partner in Holland & Knight's Boston and Miami offices, Mr. Small is a former federal prosecutor. His extensive litigation practice focuses on witness preparation, government and internal investigations, white-collar criminal law and complex civil litigation.

Mr. Small has written several books on litigation for the ABA, including Preparing Witnesses and Going To Trial, that are used in CLE programs he gives throughout the country. He is also a frequent television, radio and newspaper commentator, as well as the host of two Holland & Knight podcast series: Powerful Witness Prep and T he T rial Lawyer's Handbook
