FESTIVE SEASON TOURS Our Christmas and New Year Tours offer excellent value taking into account the additional cost of providing Staff, Hotels and Entertainment during this time of year. Most of the Hotels we use are business Hotels and some key members of staff may be missing to be with their families. Therefore, some part-time staff may be used and their systems will not operate on an individual basis. Hotels arrange their own Christmas and New Year Packages which we contract to take part in. During this period all excursions are subject to safe weather conditions. No refunds will be given if we are unable to operate our excursions.

In the event of Christmas Markets not being confirmed, delayed or cancelled, we will still visit the destination (If safe to do so) as advertised on our itinerary. Many Christmas Markets charge high prices to book our Coaches in for setting down and parking. It is essential therefore that strict times are observed. At busy Christmas party times, we may have Dinner arranged in a Banqueting room instead of the main Restaurant. This brochure was compiled in April 2017 and therefore all itineraries are subject to change. These points should be taken into account before booking.

23 DECEMBER

CHRISTMAS EVE

A lunchtime departure to the Hilton Blackpool. Settle in then take Dinner at leisure in the Promenade Restaurant. A traditional English breakfast and then we’re off on our tour to the beautiful Lake District, to include a short Boat Cruise on Lake Windermere from Bowness to Ambleside. This evening your Christmas Eve Dinner is taken once again at leisure in the main Hotel Restaurant. Afterwards there will be entertainment in the lounge.

CHRISTMAS DAY

A full Buffet Breakfast starts this special day. Time to stroll along the Sea Front, attend a local Church service and open those special presents! Christmas Luncheon is served in the main Restaurant with all the festive trimmings. Tonight we join the Hilton Chefs as they present a Yuletide Evening Buffet. There will then be light entertainment in the lounge bar.

BOXING DAY

After Breakfast this morning we depart for a short coastal tour to Lytham for morning coffee on board and then St Annes for a pre Lunch aperitif - Cheers! We return to the Hotel for Boxing Day Buffet Lunch in the Restaurant. This afternoon at Leisure or take advantage of The Boxing Day Sales. Tonight relax over Dinner in the Promenade Restaurant followed once more by entertainment in the lounge.

27 DECEMBER

A hearty Breakfast, then we are ready for the journey back to the West Midlands.

Lunchtime departure to the lovely City of Bath and the Hilton Hotel. Settle in before meeting for a Welcome Reception and Dinner in the Restaurant. Enjoy the famous Hilton Breakfast before we re-join our coach for a Tour of the most famous Bath sights. We return for a buffet lunch and in the afternoon you can discover the history, attractions, Shops and Cafés of the City yourself. Tonight sit down and relax over dinner.

CHRISTMAS DAY

A cooked English Breakfast on Christmas morning. We can advise of local Christmas services and Santa may pop into the hotel to share a Mince Pie! A Bucks Fizz Reception precedes the wonderful atmosphere of Christmas lunch. Go for a stroll or relax in the afternoon and then this evening the Chef’s Festive buffet is followed by light entertainment.

BOXING DAY

Breakfast in the Restaurant before we take you out on a morning Tour to the tiny City of Wells where we include a heartening glass of sherry. We return for a light buffet lunch in the Hotel. Simply take it easy in the hotel, discover more sights, the sales or purchase tickets for the local pantomime – At the Theatre Royal. Tonight our final dinner is served followed by entertainment.

Breakfast at leisure and then it is time to say goodbye to our hosts at the Hilton as we make our way back to the West Midlands.

A superb buffet Breakfast starts our final day of 2017. At around 10am we depart to the bustling town of Windsor. Here you can take in some of the well-known sights such as the Royal Castle and Park, the River Thames and the famous High Street stores. Our New Year party begins with a Drinks Reception, before taking your seats for the sumptuous Gala Dinner with music from the Live Band and Dancing to the resident DJ.

Departing early afternoon travelling to Merseyside and the Crowne Plaza Hotel at John Lennon Liverpool Airport. Here you can check into your comfortable bedrooms before your included Dinner in the Hotel Restaurant.

SATURDAY

Departing lunch time, we travel to the world famous holiday resort of Blackpool where we arrive at the Hilton Hotel. Time to freshen up before your included Dinner taken in the Promenade Restaurant.

A full English Breakfast before we transfer you to Central Liverpool where you can take advantage of all the International Attractions. Visit the Albert Dock, Liverpool One Shopping Centre, The Cavern Club and the Cruise Ship arrival area next to the famous Liver Buildings.

We then rejoin our Coach for the awesome spectacle of lights as we travel from the Hotel along the North Shore for the best of the brilliant displays.

We will also offer an optional Tour with a Local Guide showing many of the sights that Cilla knew so very well. In the afternoon we include Tickets for Cilla – The Musical at the Liverpool Empire Theatre. Based on the critically acclaimed ITV Series that includes some of her best loved hits such as ‘Anyone who had a Heart’, ‘Alfie’ and ‘Something tells me’!

MONDAY

After the show we return to the Crowne Plaza where again Dinner will be included tonight.

We leave Chester in the afternoon to return to the West Midlands.

Morning departure calling at the Magnificent City of Oxford. It was here that part of the University Buildings were used in 3 of the Harry Potter films. After a short stay we continue towards London and the Warner Bros Studio Tour.

Morning departure to Devon calling at the Historic City of Exeter. We continue to the coast and to popular Torquay where we arrive at The Howden Court Hotel. The Howden Court is well known for its Entertainment and good food. This week the Hotel will be brightly decorated for ‘Christmas’ with a touch of Halloween. An ideal theme for the Fancy Dress Competition with prizes. There will also be a brief tour of the Hotel going back to the year 1800 when it was built for the Haige Family and the tragic death of a housekeeper (Mary) who still walks about the Hotel today! A Buffet Breakfast and then our departure within Wiltshire to Longleat. Here at the home of the Marques of Bath, the whole estate is turned into a dazzling Winter Wonderland. Your admission includes Entrance into the beautifully Christmas decorated Longleat House where you will be swept back in time. From here you can stroll through the magnificent Gardens and into the main square. We will also drive through the amazing Safari Park but the highlight today will be the spectacular Festival of Light. There are many more events and attractions to fill this busy day with the thousands of lights due to be switched on at 4pm. Late afternoon we depart back to our Hotel where once again Dinner is included.

Relax over Breakfast. A free day in Drymen or join our optional local tour. We visit Glengoyne Highland Malt Distillery where we tour and sample a Wee Dram.

From Glengoyne we travel into The Trossachs and a short stop at Aberfoyle. We then continue to Lake Katrine where we join a Lake Cruise to include Afternoon Tea – A most enjoyable experience. Tonight our final Dinner is again followed by entertainment and our open bar till 10:30pm – Cheers!

DAY TWO
