Film Descriptions Grouped By Category The NatureTrack Film Festival has carefully curated 59 thought-provoking and entertaining films for your viewing pleasure over our three-day event. We

are honored and proud to bring you these outstanding nature films which were selected from over 20 countries and produced by passionate and talented filmmakers. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our selected films in the following category.

Adventure Few things are more exhilarating or rewarding than an outdoor experience that opens our eyes and our hearts to the natural world we live in. These filmmakers literally went a step further to film places, animals and activities in their quest to share the wonders of the world with us.

180° South: Conquerors of the Useless Sat. 8:00 PM

USA, 2010, 85 mins.

Chris Malloy’s film strikes deeply into the heart of Patagonia’s wilderness. Jeff Johnson retraces the epic 1968 journey of his heroes Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins to Patagonia. Jeff eventually Directed by Chris Malloy meets up in a rainy hut with the two icons who, once driven purely by a love of climbing and surfing, now value above all the experience of raw nature — and have come to Patagonia to spend their fortunes to protect it.

Baobabs Between Land and Sea Sat. 1:30 PM

France, 2015, 56 mins.

By their sheer size and original shapes, baobabs are among the most remarkable trees on the planet. Relatively unknown in Madagascar, these giants are currently threatened by deforestation. To study them, in the heart of their forests, the filmmakers traveled by pirogue, Directed by Cyrille Cornu exploring 400 km of wild and isolated coastline in the southwest of Madagascar. P.21
