This edition also features “The Secret Princess,” the first Nigerian children’s feature animated film. The film is an African take on the princess stories we all love. The main character is Sade who grows up in the Jungle after her Queen mother switched her at birth with a poor farmer’s new baby son. The film was entirely privately funded with support of the cast and crew who took a pay cut just to make the first children feature animation. It was produced over three years starting from 2013 and was made using 3D software blender, Maya and unity. Voice over recording was done in London and Nigeria. Production was conducted in London. Many people that worked on it were interested, based on the novelty of the idea. We also are pleased to showcase the latest fashions of Ms. Joyce Penas Pilarsky. Ms. Pilarsky is a world-class humanitarian and acclaimed artist who promotes the beauty of the Asian culture. And finally, we are please to feature the Arts 4 Peace Awards, the firstever collective celebration of the arts of every culture around the world. The purpose of these awards is to demonstrate to each nation how vitally important their culture is to the whole fabric of our world. HW: Hello, thank you for the opportunity to conduct this interview. Tell me about your background. What was your like while growing up?
In grade school I was quite athletic and was a varsity player in our inter-school soccer softball team. I also played volleyball and taught myself how to swim well.
MP: I grew up in a household where there were many rules and discipline was strictly enforced. My father was a Civil Structural Engineer who had his own engineering firm, and my mother work as an underwriting manager at PhiliamLife.
Although my childhood may sound like a fairy tale life, while growing up we were never pampered. We had household help but we were scolded if we had to be dependent on them.
HW: Were you very outgoing as a youth? MP: Although I have two older sisters, I was the quiet one, and was often misunderstood as being aloof. My sister and I attended St. Scholastic’s College in Manila during high school. I then went to college at the University of the Philippines, Diliman and studied Fine Arts Major in Visual Communications. HW: Have you always been creative and athletic? MP: Through sheer hard work and plenty of sacrifice, my parents were able to provide our family with a comfortable life. My mother was very controlling, but she made sure we were all exposed to the arts and culture. From the age of 4 till I was about 16 years old, I played the piano and spent many years performing in recitals playing classical music. I received numerous first honors for excellence in music. I loved to write, oil paint, dance and excelled in creative writing.
HW: You speak very lovingly towards your parents. What were some values that you were taught that you wish to share with our readers? MP: We were taught strong values like to never make people wait regardless of who they are so always be punctual; always pay your debts and make an effort not to have any; live and spend within your means; always have your own savings and save up for the future; always be self-reliant and not depend on anyone else for your needs; and dream big ---when you dream, always look up, it’s much more beautiful up there rather than look down, where the ground is dirty. All these values I took to heart and practiced even to this very day. So even as a little girl, I already learned not to ask for money. I remember when I was in the 3rd grade, my mom forgot to give me my food allowance for that day and I was embarrassed to remind her. Instead, I chose to go hungry that day and never told my mother about it.

If I needed the extra cash, I would make bookmarks and little collectibles which I would sell to my classmates and my immediate family. At home, I also had this first aid kit so when someone needed a band-aide or any minor medical attention, they had to buy from me. And if I had to mend their wound, they would have to pay me. It was because of this that my father believed that I should have been a doctor --- which of course didn’t happen. HW: So would you say that your family was a source on inspiration? MP: I value my family as much as I value my work. They both inspire me and give me fulfillment. I have been blessed to have a career, to be happily married to a loving and supportive husband, and to have three wonderful children --- 2 boys (college and high school) and the youngest is a girl still in high school. My children are my life. My dreams are not my own because family will always be in the equation. I can say as a family, we’re really very close-knit and we’re like close friends. We’ re almost always together, especially on weekends. Many have asked me, given the chance, would I want to go back to being young again? I said “No. Life has never been better and it just keeps getting better as I get older. There’s so much I am able to do now which I could never have done before.” HW: Tell me about your work experiences.
MP: I started to work when I was still in college at U.P. Diliman. My oldest sister worked at PHILCITE and I was hired on a contractual basis and my work involved interviewing 50-100 people a day during car shows, toys and gifts fairs, etc. I needed the extra money so I did this during my Christmas and summer breaks. After graduating from college after landing my first job, I stopped receiving my monthly allowance from my father. (Although my paycheck was barely minimum wage - I had to prove that I could provide for myself). And although I had decided that I did not want a job working for an advertising agency, for the first four years of my career life, I dabbled into different jobs, mostly in sales, but didn’t last very long and wasn’t very happy doing so I always quit. Until I decided to finally try my hand in advertising, working as a copywriter, artist, producer and Account Manager. Yes, I was multi-tasked, but I loved it. The pressure was high, but the fulfillment was even much higher. HW: I understand that you have worked and managed your own Agency? MP: During my last employment, working for an ad agency as an Executive Creative Director and VP for Account Management and Business Development for 10 years, I handled numerous prestigious multinational and local accounts. This work taught me humility, patience and perseverance, as well as prepared me for more challenges and struggles ahead.
MY WORK TAUGHT ME HUMILITY, PATIENCE AND PERSEVERANCE, AS WELL AS PREPARED ME FOR MORE CHALLENGES AND STRUGGLES AHEAD.

eat. I think those are two of life’s greatest pleasures. At least twice a year, we go on holiday either here in the country or abroad, and explore. I have been around Europe, the U.S. and Asia. I also cook and my family looks forward to the special dishes I prepare during weekends, when I’m in the mood. My kids have been encouraging me to put up my own catering business, which I am not considering at the moment. HW: Can you tell me what is something your close friends may not know about you?
With the tremendous amount of pressure, I swore to myself I would never set up my own advertising agency despite the encouragement from most of my colleagues. It’s just funny how destiny played a role in my career life and now, here I am, running my own full service advertising agency for the last eight years, by the name of B&W Omnimedia, Inc. It was never planned, but my former clients are my greatest supporters. This year, we set up a company called Holy APP Solutions along with my husband and other partners with expertise in the field of technology. It is a community enabler and technology provider, delivering innovative solutions to address the challenges of growing communities and diverse business organizations. HW: What are some of your life’s passions? MP: Aside from my family and my work, I love to decorate homes. This is my ultimate passion. I should have taken up interior design. It gives me so much pleasure. At the moment, we’re beginning to build our weekend home up in the hills and I expect to get all my creative juices going there. I also love to dance. I dance three times a week (dance fusion, modern, hip hop and the like). Dancing not only makes me happy, it also helps me cope with pressure, anxiety and worry, and it’s my way to try and keep fit. Before I discovered dancing as a fitness regimen, I was actively into muay thai for over two years and my instructor was encouraging me to compete in the women’s division because I could really kick. But because of an injury, I had to stop. As a family, we love to travel and 8 HOLLYWOOD WEEKLY
MP: I am very low maintenance and my needs are simple. I only visit the parlor 3 or 4 times a year and don’t spend too much time looking at the mirror. I have never taken a selfie and barely like how I look on videos or in pictures. Designer clothes, bags, shoes, etc. aren’t important to me. I buy clothes and accessories simply because it’s comfortable and looks good regardless of the brand. When shopping, I enjoy looking for gifts for other people rather than shop for myself. I usually find myself shopping for Christmas gifts as early as July. I’m O.C. Everything has to be clean. Clutter and imbalance disorients me. I’m very organized and only keep what I need. Most other stuff I give away. I’m very practical. Almost everything has to be justified. What you see is what you get. I tend to be very frank and honest with my opinions. I do not like hypocrites and pretentious people so I keep away from them. I can count my real friends on my ten fingers and I tend to be very choosy with the company I keep. I prefer to keep a few real friends rather than be in a company of many insincere ones. I’m always thinking, that I forget to chill. Is it true you can lose weight from overthinking? HW: I understand that you have a nickname? MP: Someone called me “Mentos” one time, hard on the outside, soft on the inside. HW: Are you involved in any civil organizations? MP: I have involved myself in 4 socio-civic organizations as my way of giving back to society: Soroptimist International of the Philippines, Congressional; Inner Wheel Club of the Philippines; Binondo Circle - Vice President; and Rotary Club of Makati Century City. HW: Have you received any citations and awards? MP: I feel humbled and honored this year, I am most honored to be a recipient of the Manila’s Best Dressed Circle, which is now on its 17th year. This annual gala event will take place on Nov. 8th at the Manila Hotel. Last May I was also included in Manila’s Loveliest, a fashion show organized by the legendary designer, Goulle Gorospe, which was held at Dusit Thani. I was awarded Loveliest Girl of the Night. I will also be included in Rupert Jacinto’s “Faaabvlous VII” coffee table book on its 7th series as one of the fabulous 15 women of 2016. This includes a life size photo exhibit at the Manila Peninsula, which will run for 2 weeks before the gala event on Nov. 23rd.

Don’t Skip SPF
5
Keep on Priming
Just because the days are shorter and the sun’s rays are less intense, you shouldn’t skip sunscreen in the fall. Sun damage can happen even when there’s cloud cover! So make sure to cover your face, neck, hands, and any other exposed areas with at least SPF 15 to prevent UV damage.
Primer is another step that seems less necessary in the fall, when your makeup isn’t as prone to slipping or melting off. But besides its ability to smooth skin and help with even foundation application, a nourishing primer that helps ward off damaging effects the sun causes is BENEV Silicone Spray. Its great as a primer but its also great because it creates a moisture-locking barrier between your skin and the elements, helping with long-lasting hydration. Plus, bonus: by mattifying underneath your makeup, you can get away with using less powder on top (which can call extra attention to dry patches), giving you glowing fall skin that doesn’t look cakey or flat. Win.
6
Just Say Yes to Hand Crème & Cuticle Oil
It’s probably not a surprise that keeping your hands and nails soft and supple in the colder months can make a huge difference not just for your own comfort, but in the appearance of your hands and the strength of your nails—the better to show off all your moody fall manicures! Make it part of your routine to slather on your favorite hand crème throughout the day. (Or why not alternate? Because choosing between BENEV Hyaluronic Cream, BENEV Essential Lipids, BENEV Pure Squalane and is like picking a favorite child.) Keep one of your daily favorites in your bag (and in your medicine cabinet, and at your desk, and in your car…) for easy application whenever your cuticles need some love. The rich feel of theses moisturizes makes it feel like a luxury, not a chore.
7
Watch That Water Temperature
A long, hot shower can feel divine when the weather gets chilly, but it can actually wreak havoc on your skin, stripping away oil and leading to parched, dry, and scaly skin. To avoid these issues, lower the temperature to warm and keep your bath or shower short. This is especially important when washing your face in the shower! If you must keep it steamy, at least turn down the dial before you expose your face to the water—or wait until after you get out to wash your face. Then
pat, don’t rub, your skin and apply a moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp. Dont forget to slathering on some moisturizers right out of the shower.
8
Don’t Forget Your Feet
Spring is traditionally “pedicure season,” but after a long summer of open-toed sandals and sandy beaches, it’s probably time to push the reset button on those dry heels and rough soles. Plus, there really isn’t anything better than cozying up for a DIY pedi pampering session on a cool autumn night.
The BENEV® Personal Home Care Kit helps to fortify the skin’s defense mechanisms in its daily battle against environmental aggressors and age accelerators. These four premium products, provide skin quenching moisture at all levels to truly restore your skins moisture balance while providing age-fighting antioxidants, and UVA/UVB sun protection. MODEL, MUSICIAN, POET, SPEAKER, AND “RISING FILM CREATOR” humble, compassionate women of purpose with a passion to minister, give back, and serve, Nattacha Clark Delhomme is a rising force to be reckoned with. Not only is she a phenomenal gifted woman of intellect, pose, grace, and beauty (inside and out), but Nattacha has devoted her time to make it her mission to use her gifts and talents to heal the world in a global scale that has never been seen before. The third oldest of four young beautiful ladies in a family of talented singers, born and raised in Boston Massachusetts, Nattacha traces her passion for the arts and music back to her childhood experiences in which her journey began. Nattacha has been performing with her sisters since the age of ten and have been developing her talents not only as an

artist, but as a writer, motivational speaker, role model, entrepreneur, and rising leader of her generation. Nattacha and her sisters- Mirlande, Tia, and Rachelle are the members who make up the singing group known as Redemption Story. They formed Redemption Story from out of their own struggles and pain to share the message of redemption, love, and hope with a world in need of God’s saving mercy and grace. Raised in humble beginnings, these four remarkable ladies strive daily to shine their light in a world that is hurting through the individual and collaboration projects they have pursued. These young ladies have an estimate of 100-150 songs ready to grace the world. I hear the cries of the children; the drip-drops of the tears streaming down their skeletal cheeks. I see them walking with their heads swinging down low, as they enter into their boxes of hopeless thoughts and defeat. Little babies encamped in communities where violence has maximized its peak; where moms are overburdened with work, and most dads are invisible or ablaze from intoxication of dope attained last week. I see underprivileged children deprived of quality education and adequate opportunities for which to escape poverty and the negative stereotypes dangling over their heads. I see young boys and girls fueled by pain, rage, and terror, work the streets for the love and freedom for which they seek. Children of all races, of all ages, mingle to form gangs to fill the void and emptiness they feel. I hear the cries of the children. The eyes of the future are looking to see what difference will we make in our time.
E
THE CRIES OF THE CHILDREN
I had the pleasure of interviewing Nattacha, a brave and beautiful soul among the bunch who was crown recently this year as Miss Global France 2016. Nattacha began writing music and poetry from out of the passion, reality, struggles, fear, and hardships that she has witness around the world and even in her own community. In many of her writings, songs, and projects, Nattacha expresses her deep seated concern for the children, the youth, and humanity. She also addresses the sense of hopelessness that is progressively becoming the norm in society, humanity losing themselves to drugs, violence, hate, and crime, families failing, and breaking apart, and people giving up on life because of the difficulties they have or are currently dealing with. Aside from music, and poetry, Nattacha is currently rewriting and finishing her first novel and screenplay entitled: Worthy. The story stems from real life events and experiences among herself and individuals to raise awareness to the everyday struggle black young women in America face. She plans to re-release her book to begin touring and spreading her message of truth to the world January 2017. Furthermore, later that year she is planning to work with a film producer to begin filming the movie as well. To place the icing on the cake, in lure of recent and reoccurring events that has been (add) crippling America, Nattacha has started a movement called: The Movement Forward-Together We Will. The Movement Forward- “Together We Will” is a worldwide initiative to pledge YES to LOVE and NO to hate. Furthermore, to do something just a little more that has never been done before. They plan to go community to community to create the change that America needs by assembling the people together within one community to unite and build a center to better their world. (Correct sentence) Using her gifts and talents, Nattacha has release her song “Where There is Love” on iTunes and google play under her rising company’s name: Me ‘Lange of Elegance to help generate funds to begin this huge undertaking. Her concept is very fascinating and everyone can participate. Every time someone purchases and download
“Where There is Love” by Mélange of Elegance, they are pledging yes to love and no to hate. Furthermore, they are helping her raise capital to BUILD the Me’lange of Elegance Inspirational Centers in every community to bring about the change that the America needs. Tasha’s goals or aim with these centers is to create proactive solutions to help our hurting country, uplift, empower, and bring more joy, love, peace, and hope to people; create meaningful jobs for the rising mass; help society advance, and overall bring much healing into the world. Again 1 download = a pledge against crime, hate, violence, shootings, poverty, and regression in society which also equals yes to love, equality, love, peace, compassion and hope. Nevertheless, yes to building, 1 center in every community to increase employment, create solutions, innovate ideas to heal, uplift, inspire, and better the world. Tasha envisions 1 small seed at a time and 1 million people or more standing together in harmony for the betterment of mankind. Tasha is also hoping to land a TV slot to air: The Movement Forward-Together We Will so that the world may see that all things are possible when we put God first, believe, and stand together. Nattacha is a phenomenal human being whose life purpose and mission is to give back to humanity to heal the world hoping that people would join her in the fight to contribute even more to make the world a better place. PLOT:
The actions of a King, wary of his crown and seeking for a male child to heir his throne, consequently leads to two newborn babies being switched...a princess and a farmer’s son. Following the mysterious disappearance of the farmer, the wife is accused of being a witch and to escape any consequences, she runs away with her baby girl. TALKING ANIMALS – A parrot that witnessed the baby switch spreads the word in the jungle and all the animals plan to help the girl and her mother, who live alone in the jungle and are often sad about their loneliness. Along the line, the Prince (farmer’s son) meets the girl (princess) and they fall in love. In the last few scenes, a lot of amazing twists are revealed about many characters including the princess, the prince, the farmer and his wife, the King and the Queen, and of course...Mr Tortoise. After the screening of “The Secret Princess”, Egor Efiok answered several questions from our prestigious audience who loved getting a feel of some Nigerian culture from the film. According to Egor:
https://distrify.com/videos/4sdQWa-the-secret-princess https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Princess-CuppyOtedola/dp/B01J4SRDM6
“The film is an African take on the princess stories we all love. The main character is Sade who grows up in the Jungle after her Queen mother switched her at birth with a poor farmers new baby son. The film was entirely privately funded with support of the cast and crew who took a pay cut just to make the first children feature animation. It was produced over three years starting from 2013 and was made using 3D software blender, Maya and unity. Voice over recording was done in London and Nigeria. Production was in London. Many people that worked on it did it based on the novelty of the idea”. Egor Efiok ended her speech by appealing for funding to encourage the Nigerian film industry. Hear her: “Nollywood is the 3rd biggest film industry but children films are very rare. I encourage you to donate to support children entertainment in Africa which has little or no support. You can do so on www.TransTales.com and on www.TheSecretPrincess.com”.

And of course it strengthens my faith in myself for the decision to actually make the film in the first place. The kidnapping happened 14 years ago, and I didn’t talk about it for ten years because I was too embarrassed. I was too scared. Selling Isobel reveals the true story of a girl who was kidnapped in the middle of the afternoon, by a man wielding a knife, and subsequently trafficked. A story based on the real life events of a woman who was trapped and held against her will, for the longest 3 long days of her life, in a London apartment and sold to random men. It’s about her fight for life and how she breaks free on her own. Although it is set in America, the real story happened in the heart of of London, behind the capital’s biggest shopping district, Oxford Street. The horror happening just steps away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The brave actress who stars in the film, Frida Farrell, was also the young woman who experienced this nightmare first hand a little over a decade ago.
