A Message from Our Director... I pray that all of you are finding some new sense of normalcy in the midst of this pandemic. Sue Weber reports to me that many of you have been online watching lots of webinars! I applaud you for taking the time to refresh and/or re-educate yourself during these tumultuous times. I pray that these online learning events have been fruitful and assisted you in your ministry. One of the purposes of the Office of Clergy Services is to assist you in your ministry. I have sought to do this in numerous ways. Chief among them has been the introduction of online magazines. At first it was the quarterly editions of the Clergy Connexion. Lately, though, I have generated a few in direct response to the pandemic. I hope that these have been helpful to you. Moving into the future—the very near future—as in the next couple of weeks—I hope to roll out an app for your mobile devices: ipad, iphone, android pad & phone. The goal will be to put at your fingertips these resources that are being developed. I will be sending instructions on how to access this app within a week or so. It is still in the development stages, but I have hopes for it being a go to place for items related to the Office of Clergy Services. I’d be interested in having some beta reviewers. Email me if you are interested. Let me close by asking you this: “Are there topics you need me to explore in the immediate future in relation to the ongoing pandemic and its impact upon our churches?” Give me some ideas. There just might be another magazine created! You might want to share with me digital connections to some of the materials that you have come across—if you are able to do so. Send me a copy of the URL or point me toward the site that hosts the material that you have found most helpful. I will try to look at them and see what can be shared with the whole group. That includes YouTube and Vimeo videos. I should be able to embed those in a magazine. May God continue to bless you and may your church be a beacon of hope in this present darkness. A Fellow Servant of Christ, Rev. Terry Goodman
