SOCIAL JUSTICE IN ACTION. student programs for Urban Development (SPUD), the most popular student organization on campus, is made up of 45 public service programs throughout Greater Worcester. Mentor at-risk teenagers, tutor English language learners, or coach a Special Olympics basketball tournament. SPUD keeps you involved with your community, and connected with more than 500 other student volunteers.

Yolanda Rabun ’90 she’s a modern-day renaissance woman, a person of many talents: lawyer, executive, speaker, wife, mom, actor, recording artist, producer, and many more to come. Rabun currently works as senior corporate counsel for IBM and credits Holy Cross for sparking her interest in computers and coding. She is also an executive sponsor for Black Girls Code, where she works to inspire the future generation of leaders.

Emmy-award winning actor whose credits include “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “The Leftovers,” “Compliance” and “Marley & Me”

once a new york native, Anderson now claims Worcester as home. After making his mark on campus as a co-founder of the Brother to Brother Committee, he continues to make a positive impact on the Worcester community as an alumnus. Currently working as deputy cultural development officer for the City of Worcester, he was one of the organizers of the POW! WOW! Worcester Mural Festival. Over the past five years, this annual weeklong festival has already curated over 130 pieces of public art. For this great work, Anderson was named to Worcester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list in 2018.

you know him as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, and as recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. But Fauci was once a classics major with a premedical concentration at Holy Cross, and he credits his professional success to the Jesuit intellectual rigor that was a core part of his education, which instilled in him a lifelong commitment to social justice.
