Dear Students, Once again you have reached the end of another chapter in your personal life, and we, in the life of Holy Family College.

During the past several or more years, you have been devoting yourself to your studies, either full-time or as an important adjunct to other full-time responsibilities. During these years, you have experienced times when everything seemed to go well and your spirits carried you "up" to the heights; you were successful; your friends were loyal, your family supported you. And then too, there were the "down" moments and the times you had to literally begin again. But through it all, you learned that life is just like that, a succession of ups and downs, a wonderous book in which no two chapters are alike. Today you can rejoice in the knowledge that this chapter has ended successfully. And so it has been with the College. We continuously strive to provide the best for you as well as for those who preceded and those who will follow you. Changes have taken place during your time on campus; some have been in the form of curricular modifications, some in the form of additional facilities, faculty, staff, environment. As we strive to meet current needs each year, we are compelled to reevaluate and readjust. It is often for us times of ups and downs, or of repeated efforts toward maintaining excellence. But seeing you successful and accomplished today is a great part of our reward. We will miss each of you as you go forth to initiate another chapter in life. We hope and pray there will be many bright happy and "up" times for you and those you love. Sincerely, kl~

DEDICATION TO

Sr. M. Neomisia Dutkowski, C.S.F.N., Ph.D.

A LIFE OF (MUVICE

Celebrating a life of service... is Don Fitzwater, SGA President, as he presents Sr. Neomisia with roses on her feast day. We, the members of the Holy Family community, lovingly dedicate the 1990-1991 Familogue to Sister M. Neomisia Rutkowski, C.S.F.N., Ph.D. A woman of great strength, character, and piety, Sr. Neomisia proves to be an inspiration to all those individuals fortunate enough to have made her acquaintance. Her life, which is rich and overflowing with God's love and graces, can be characterized with simply one word: dedication. Sr. Neomisia exemplifies an admirable life of service as she has served the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth for over sixty years. She began her life of service as a teacher offering her students a wealth of knowledge, an abundance of kindness, and an unyielding enthusiasm for learning. Sr. Neomisia began her quest of providing youth with a living, dynamic education as she became founder and principal of Nazareth Academy, a private high school for girls. Sr. Neomisia continued to prove to be an integral facet not only in the world of education but also in her own religious community; she served as local Superior, as Provincial Superior, and as the first American Superior General of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, governing over North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. However, Sr. Neomisia could not appease her love for learning or her desire to create an atmosphere where students could further their education while growing in spirit and character. Sr. Neomisia's unrelenting will and strength of convictions lead her to seek and finally obtain approval from State and Archdiocesan officials for the founding of Holy Family College. Sr. Neomisia established the solid foundation on which Holy Family College is built; she serves as the first president of Holy Family upholding the values of truth, goodness, and strength of character as well as instilling in Holy Family's tradition a deep desire for learning. Undoubtedly, these values still exist within the walls of Holy Family just as Sr. Neomisia is an ever-present inspiration to everyone in the College community. Undeniably, we, the members of Holy Family College are forever indebted to Sr. Neomisia. Her life of service to the community has resulted in the fulfillment of dreams for a great number of students. Sr. Neomisia has paved the path of the future and challenges us to undertake this worthwhile journey. We

cannot thank Sr. Neomisia enough for her love and many of service to the Holy Family community. Although she has dedicated her entire life to serving her community, we are dedicating to her all of our accomplishments of 1990-91 made apparent through the yearbook as a means of expressing our gratitude. We love you, Sr. Neomisia, and we dedicate the 1990-91 Familogue to you with the hope that someday we will be able to repay your love and kindness with service of our own.

Two Roads Oeverged In A Yellow Wood And Sorry I Could Not Travel Both And Be One Traveler, Long I Stood And Looked Oown One As Far I Could To Where It Bent In The Undergrowth;

Then Took The Other,

As Just As

And Both That Morning Equally Lay In Leaves No Step Had Trodden Black Oh, I Kept The First For Another Oay! Yet Knowing How Way Leads On To Way

I Ooubted If I Should Ever Come Back I Shall Be Telling This With A Sigh Somewhere Ages Hence: Two Roads Oiverged In A Wood, And II Took The One Less Traveled By, And That Has Made All The Oifference.

My dear Friend, You find yourself thousands of miles away from your family, friends, and country. You look up to the stars only to see that these

same stars, which seemed within reach back home, now seem to hang aloft in the distance. To Linda & Mlndy:

Linda Gallagher

An admired and dedicated teacher, co-worker and friend.

Memories can bring joy as well as pain. Joy comes in our minds, like sunshine, when we think of the smiles and the cherished moments we shared together. Pain falls on us, as the dimness of a rainy day, when we think on how you are so far away. Memories, within themselves, are like the stars that twinkle up above. Just as the stars continue to glow, you will always glow within our minds. Linda and Mindy, we thank you for the times that we shared with us and thanks for the memories. We will always feel your prescence amongst us. Your spirits are like the "wind beneath our wings".

—Class ative and intelligent, nd friend.
