MElBI11 Some of our Holy Family College seniors and SAYS members headed to West Philadelphia's Habitat for Humanity on October 18, 2000. West Stiles Street's houses have all been reconstructed by Habitat for Humanity for the past 12 years. Once reconstructed, the houses have been given back to the community.
The students and Habitat for Humanity volunteers helped for one day in the reconstruction of one of those houses. They scraped off the old cement from the walls and reinforced them, then mixed and poured concrete. There was a growing excitement as their work appeared to transform the basement area they were working at. With their right spirit and energy, the students had the chance to take part in a project that willhelp families to have new homes.
We are looking forward to participating in this experience next semester.

enior itizen Dinner
On October 8,2000 in the College Center everything was set to welcome the special guests of the Senior Citizen Dinner. Members of the Holy Family College community mingled with the seniors and their families. There were old friends meeting again after a long time and new friendships blooming. The students helped to serve the delicious dinner to our guests. As the time passed by, the room filled with joyful sounds of music and conversations. Seeing smiles on seniors'aces and seeing that they were having good time made everybody feel happy.

Every October, in light of Halloween, the Humanities Department sponsors an event called the Reign of Terror. Various scary activities, lectures, and readings take place during this occasion. Several themes are explored at each of the activities, such as Vampires, Witches, and Werewolves. All of the student body and faculty are invited to attend this creative and entertaining event. This is a great opportunity to get the students involved with the school, and to spark an interest in their lives. In addition, it is a wonderful experience for the English and Communication majors to attend and participate since much of their school and business career centers on these ideas, The students who do participate do so by reading, analyzing, and discussing famous legends, tales, and folklore surrounding Halloween. As always, this year' Reign of Terror was a huge success thanks to dedicated students and faculty.

On Friday, December 8, 2000 the Student Services Department hosted the celebration of Christmas Rose. The Holy Family community gathered together for a liturgy, dinner and a talent show. This event is held annually in the spirit of the holidays to honor a child whose tears formed a perfect rose to offer as a gift to the baby Jesus. The spirit of Christmas is truly exemplified by our gathering together as a community for this beautiful evening.

The Junior Class once again sponsored our annual Mr. H.F.C. contest with a little switch. Ms. H.F.C. was added by the Sophomore Class. The Mr./Ms. H.F.C. contest allowed the men and women of Holy Family College to show their not-so-serious side. Our "brief" boxer short competition proved to be most amusing. The audience held their breath as the contestants strolled by in their formal wear, dressed to kill, with their beatiful and handsome escorts by their side.
In the end, Paul Taggines and Robin McMenamin were crowned Mr./Ms. H.F.C.. All who participated and attended had a great time.

Dear Class of 2001:
It is truly the dawn of a new era, a fresh beginning for the new millennium that has finally arrived. This new millennium willbring many changes to create a better world. The Familogue staff have adopted this idea and have strived to make changes to the format and design of the yearbook to adapt to newer and better times. The Familogue staff have attempted this year to produce a yearbook that could be appreciated by all. With teamwork and commitment, we worked long and hard to give back to the faculty and student body a yearbook worthy of their loyalty and dedication to Holy Family College.
Joe
Coll, Angela Cardamone, Co-Editor, Melissa McElwaine, Co-Editor
We would like to especially thank Michael McNulty-Bobholz, our yearbook moderator, for all of his support and assistance on the 2001 yearbook. Without Mike's help and guidance, we could not have accomplished all that we did. We would especially like to express our gratitude to Mike for his patience as we slowly learned the in and outs in the creation of a yearbook. Congratulations are also in order for Mike and his wife, Sheila, on the birth of their son, Connor, on August 11, 2000. Even with the added responsibilities of fatherhood, Mike still managed to always be available to us, maintaining a smile at all times.
Thanks is earned on the part of DaVor Photography for capturing our joyful memories of Holy Family College on film so we willnever forget our days here. I cannot imagine life without photographs to look back on and reminisce about. Our great appreciation also goes out to Phil Klein, our representative from josten's, for all of his help and patience, and especially for the extended deadlines. 118
To the Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors, congratulations on the completion of yet another year. All the long hours laboring over term papers and finals are over for a short while. Then, before you know it, we are back at Holy Family, doing it all over again!
Congratulations and best of luck to the graduating Seniors of Holy Family College. Most likely, when you first arrived at Holy Family College, graduation seemed a distant goal. However, time flies, especially when it is the best time of your life - as college is considered to be. Now the "real" world awaits you to make your presence known. Whether you get a "real job" or continue on to graduate school, good luck and remember to always have fun and enoy all that you do.
In conclusion, we would like to again thank all who helped out in the creation of this year's yearbook and remind everyone to make this "dawn of a new era" the time for you to shine.
Melissa McElwaine
Angela Cardamone Co-Editor

A special thanks to Adriana Dobrzycka, Nancy Vargun, Maureen McElroy and many others. 119
