A NOTE FROM THE EDITORS It is our pleasure to present to you the last edition of Familogue. We live in an age where anyone can potentially, and instantly, reach out to a mass number of people and can, in turn, see what others are saying. 4Hashtags have become an integral part of the digital space with them being used in ever more frequently creative ways to promote events, ideas, and products. Twitter allows you to say anything you want, but only gives you 140 characters to do so. 4Hashtags give you the power to focus your message. With that being said, connections built on Twitter can lead to long-term relationships. Connections bring people together, creating a sense of c unity in the same way that Holy Family Univer sity does.

Krlsta Zerkow has taken on a great deal of leadership roles such as being a Freshmen Mentor for the past three years, the President of Students at Your Service, the Secretary of the Business Society, and Chair of the Student Advisory Council. When asked why she loves being a club leader, Krista replied, "I love leading people in general. I enjoy public speaking and love making people laugh. I feel at ease in front of the clubs that I lead and feel a deep connection with each person who is part of the clubs I run. I try to make things fun, welcoming, and enjoyable. I am very organized and feel that this is one of the main reasons I enjoy being a club leader. I enjoy being noticed around campus, and being able to answer member's questions as well." Krista has gained many exciting experiences from belonging to these particular clubs. She has taken part in many events such as Breakfast with Santa, Bunny Breakfasts, Flea Markets and more. Krista has had the opportunity to network herself while attending these events and had the opportunity to meet people who have had a huge impact on her life, by giving her scholarships and touching her heart immensely. After graduation Krista would like to work with children "because I absolutely love working with children. My ultimate dream is to start my own business or non-profit organization that focuses on disabled children as being young leaders in the community. This would allow the youth to take part in service projects, which will help them to appreciate more in life and understand the importance of giving back at an early age. If for some reason I don't start my own non-profit, I still would like service to the community to be a huge, ongoing part of my life. I know for a fact that I woul like to get my Master', at maybe Temple or Holy Family." 43

member of the men's basketball team, Khiry Hankins is also on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). He has earned honors such as All-CAAC3rd Team, Capital 1 AllAcademic Honors, as well as the Northeast Times Sportsman of the Year Award. "It was very humbling to earn these awards especially after all that I have been through and am still going through in my undergraduate basketball career," he said. I Khiry thanks the athletic department, in particular Mrs. Sandra Michael and coach R.C. Kehoe, for all that they have done for him. Being so far away from home for so much of the year, Khiry considers them an extended version of his family. Holy Family has helped him grow from a boy into a man adding, "I still have one year left to put on a Holy Family uniform so I will certainly do my best to use my talents to give back to the school wha has given me over the past 4 years

rA C Jonathan Dick is involved in a variety of activities on the campus of Holy Family University. He is a member of the Student Government Association (SGA), the community service group called Students at Your Service (S.A.Y.S) and Campus Ministry's Frassati Society, headed by Father James MacNew where he has been involved in leading several team-building events. He also is involved with Music Ministry. Off-campus, Jonathan has co-led a youth group at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Bensalem. "What I enjoy most are two things: learning and helping others. For one, you are never born a leader. You learn to become one. So through the help of many good student and faculty leaders, I have learned great 'hings about leadership. The second is a chance to help others. Being a leader is not about being on top, but to be with the .'eople you serve and cater to what they need as best as you can," said Jonathan. From being a group leader, Jonathan has learned his strengths and weaknesses. He has also learned a great deal through his faith. Jonathan said, "My faith has taught me that recognition and being at the top isn' everything. Faith has taught me the meaning of humility, love, joy, passion, and persistence. Faith has shown me that I cannot do things alone, but 'with God all things are possible'Matthew 19:26)." After Jonathan graduates, he hopes to become a member of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. When asked if Holy Family has changed him as a person Jonathan responded," Absolutely! Holy Family gave me the chance to become a leader. It restored my faith, and helped me find the career path I was meant to follow. I know it sounds extreme, but I owe my life to Holy Family University since they have given me so much!" .

O'Driscoll is the President and Founder of Holy Family University's :Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter in Philadelphia. Ryan is the group leader ,for this year's trip to Taos, New Mexico. ;His responsibilities when leading these .activities include, "to facilitate all group ,'meetings, plan and organize the spring ;break trip, and guide the other ..;:participants in any way", says Ryan. By being part of these activities, Ryan has gained a whole new outlook on life. He 'enjoys helping families in need, and by physically lending a helping hand has ,found how this has impacted how he ,views the world. When asked what he enjoys the most about being a club leader, Ryan said, "I .,enjoyed seeing the entire group coming ,-;together, getting closer, and building a ,family bond." When asked if he has ever been faced with any difficulties or ran into a problem while being a group ..leader, Ryan said, "When I was a Resident Advisor (RA), and also a Student Ambassador for Undergraduate Admissions, I was faced with a lot of stress. I learned to prioritize." Although being in charge of a group can be stressful, it is also very rewarding. "After a week of Habitat for Humanity, seeing your progression from day one to day five is incredible", replied Ryan. One person who had the most influence on Ryan throughout his years at Holy Family University would be Matt Thomas. "Matt Thomas has worked with me for three years while I had a job as a work-study student in the Activities . He has helped guide and shape me into the person am today", said Ryan. After graduation, Ryan plans on getting involved in Higher Education, Residence Life, Student Admissions, or Student Advising. Overall, Ryan stated that the most important knowledge gained from Holy Family University, would be to, "appreciate the things that you have. Even in a simple way you can give to someone, whether it be giving a helping hand, or smiling and saying 'hello'."
