REAL WOOD FLOORS The owners of this new construction Naples home desired a design and finishes that would beautifully incorporate and enhance their collection of ethnic items from trips around the world. Real Wood Floors’ 6-inch wide White European Oak flooring is used throughout the living and bedroom areas, adding a rich warmth to the eclectic interiors. The Surrey flooring, one of eight floors offered in the Eighteen Seventy-Five Collection launched in 2016, is comprised of a sliced hardwood top layer which allows for beautiful grain and movement. The coloring process creates a one-of-a-kind floor each time it is crafted, allowing the natural beauty of the tree to be fully realized. Courtesy of Real Wood Floors, www.realwoodfloors.com

Expect the unexpected as you enter this completely renovated villa in Naples’ Pelican bay. No indication of the once traditional home remains in this modern showcase by interior designer Laurie Walter of Cinnabar Design. The homeowner, an artist, wanted a backdrop on which to showcase her artwork. Striking high polish 24-by48-inch white Dolomite porcelain flooring, mud-set in a stacked bond pattern, sleek white lacquered kitchen cabinetry and white walls create a perfect backdrop for the lively art. Fusing wow factor with functionality, the modern kitchen epitomizes open concept living serving as the social centerpiece of the home. The oversized quartz-topped waterfall-edge island serves as both bar and prep space. Architectural interest was added by dropping the ceiling to delineate the kitchen. Walter accomplished the open concept by removing the walls that once separated the family room, kitchen, and living areas. The palette of white, black, gray, and red complements the primary colors in the client’s acrylic canvases and fused glass. Courtesy of Cinnabar Design, www.cinnabardesign.net

While shopping in downtown Naples, the owners of this home came across the Bay Design Store and knew immediately they had found the perfect match for them. It is at the Bay Design Store where they met interior designer Jill Kersey whose sophisticated eye and years of local experience, helped to bring this beautifully relaxed vision to life. At the initial presentation, a color palette of blue, white, soft gray, and taupe was selected. The addition of an orange pop in the family room was a last minute decision. “The clients are young, so I wanted the home to exude an energetic and lively feeling,” explains Kersey. The home has an open floor plan for maximum entertaining space and is set on a quaint lake in the heart of Old Naples. Wide plank wood flooring spans throughout and gives a seamless feel to the floor plan. Woven wood window coverings with sheer side panels frame the spectacular lake and pool views. Accordion doors open to a beautiful outdoor living space with a cypress wood ceiling detail, summer kitchen, gas fireplace and custom negative edge pool. Original Segrelles art and white painted wood ceiling details complement the coastal and elegant feel, in keeping with this gulfside town. Custom designed accent pillows and the perfect accessories finish the look, making this home the inviting and relaxed design vision the owners had always imagined. CALUSA CONSTRUCTION
The goal of this renovation by Calusa Construction was to “de-Med the interiors while transforming the living space into an open concept entertaining space. Calusa worked around and incorporated existing structure elements in the updated design. The original staircase was reimagined into an open, elegant form, without altering the original stairwell dimensions. The new staircase creates an intimate nook, now housing stunning glasswalled wine storage and a conversation seating area. Calusa opened the living space, adding a ventless fireplace feature and contemporary lighted shelving niches on either side. Similar lighted shelving is seen in the new dining area design. An existing structural column is incorporated into an L-shaped island with generous seating in the new sleek integrated kitchen. Courtesy of Calusa Construction, www.calusa-construction.com

KGT REMODELING
BEFORE
KGT Remodeling transformed a once choppy, dated floor plan into an open concept with an updated transitional style. The kitchen lacked adequate storage and work space, and was walled-off from the great room, making it difficult to entertain. KGT removed the walls and Tuscan design features, including arched doorways. New 24-inch porcelain tile flooring brightens the main living areas. The kitchen island was centered with the cooktop with three clear-glass pendants added to accent the high ceiling space. Dark cherry cabinets contrast the light Taj-Mahal marble countertops and mother of pearl tile backsplash.
